  • I miss you. Not in a Slint way, but I miss you.

  • WOW they sound great live

  • the guitar player has to be a metalhead! or at least a metal fan

  • @donibard Why, yes he is.) I grew up with the drummer. Britt and Dave had some super heavy earlier projects

  • fantastico concerto, uno dei migliori a cui abbia mai assistito.

  • ....literal shivers

  • s a r e d r e n w e l l s

  • Check out the WordPress blog "Death of a Cultured Man," for a brilliant review about "Spiderland" and this song. Contact me for the link. Thanks!

  • @defpoet28 so, can I get that link you're talking about? I'd really appreciate it. Thanks in advance, buddy.

  • quite the showmen aren't they.

  • FUCK! I'm 30 minutes from there and I didn't go to see them at that time.

  • 1:47

  • Nice moment at 1:59 when they come out of the slow middle 8 and go back into the menacing groove. The crowd digs it

  • SPOT ON! And the crowd seems to understand and appreciate what they are witnessing. Makes me wish I was in Italy that night... It blows my mind that this music is nearly two decades old.

  • Slint are god of music. Spiderland is a masterpiece, one of the best albums ever made!

  • spot on with the album of course.

i see them playing it, but if i close my eyes i'm immediately lost at sea with my heart racing, shivering. then i open my eyes and i see the computer. weird. fucking slint...brilliant.

  • ''i miss youuuuuuuu'' what a great song..

  • io c'ero...

    che serata!

Grazie per aver pubblicato questo video.

  • probabilmente il mio gruppo preferito, darei qualsiasi cosa per vederli dal vivo cazzo.

  • Piu' grande gruppo di sempre.

  • FUCK. i really think this band's music is probably some of the eeriest music i can imagine.

  • god morgon!

  • no other album has captured so much intense emotion..gives me goosebumps, still.

  • All I know is this song from the Kids soundtrack. Is the album good? As in, does it maintain throughout?

  • yeah, listen to it. now.

  • The album maintains this mood throughout. I also like the side project "The for Carnation" which has a similar vibe.

  • yes. listen to mattisp.

  • Il tripudio espressivo del post-rock. Per intelletti raffinati.

  • Epocali....

e non sono riuscito a vederli dal vivo :(((

  • This shit changed my life in 92.

  • Perfection. If you don't get it then forget it.

  • brings to tears to my eyes every time i hear it. i use to balance it out by listening to reggae music afterwards. one of the saddest and most powerful songs of ALL time.

  • I used to hate bands that mumble, but I don't mind Slint a bit. For others, it's like they're clouding their own message; for Slint, it's like they're telling a story they'd rather keep hidden. It's so awesome <3

  • One of the best album closers ever. The whole "I'm trying to find my way home and I'm sorry...I miss you!" part always gives me shivers.

Great but, sadly, unknown record, Perhaps it's somewhat anonymous state is part of my appeal towards it, it will always be a hidden treasure for those of us who know it and own it.

  • To whom is this anonymous? It's widely considered one of the most important indie rock albums ever.

  • The same to me, I could not have said it better. I always try to make people listen to such great music, but sadly enough, most people find it boring, the music being too depressive or stressful. For them, listening to music is nothing you can do without doing anything else.

  • Everytime I see a Slint live performance from 2007 I think "That's not the Brian McMahan I saw on the Spiderland cover, he looks so much different now". But then I remember that there are more than fifteen years between 1991 and 2007.

By the way, this was an excellent performance, despite the video's quality.

  • This song is fucking GREAT!!!

  • †スリント、激クール。

    カッコいい。

  • slint needs to reunite full time.

  • I agree

  • TOTALLY!!!!

  • deilicous

  • 6:21 - 7:00 = EARGASM!

  • yeah anyone could play this but did just anyone come up with this? lame some people think a song must be "composed" or hard to play to be good. this song gives and gives.

  • you're an idiot. How does playing at ATP= shallow "indie" music? The lineup had fucking dirty three for god's sake

  • yeah i wasn't a big fan of them coming out of the dark, but whateves...it's still Slint.

  • Increible regreso de banda que realmente dejo un grna legado en varias bandas creadores del post-rock y el math rock.

  • orgasmic

  • I've been listening to these guys for years. Along with dinosaur jr, pavement, built to spill, all the greats

  • You said it!

  • very cool to hear the live version of this

  • When you watch videos of them you could fall asleep. You have to see them live to understand how great they are live. Everything fits and you realize there's one thing that really matters: the music.

  • So a band and crowd have to go nuts to show they're 'into it'? Utter bollocks. Even if the band are pretty static, their performance is great, and every time I go to a gig, I refrain from 'going nuts', but I still appreciate and enjoy it.

  • @perpitbla5 I totally agree. I hate it when people act like dicks at gigs.

  • @perpitbla5

Whoa, you Refrain from 'going nuts'!

  • @perpitbla5 for me, it depends on the type of music really. here you would stand staring, unmoving and let the wall of sound hit you like a ton of bricks. If it was say bad brains or something, i wouldn't be able to help but move around.

  • @perpitbla5 I don't understand then? If you're going to stand aside quietly and listen to the music then why go to the show? You can sit quietly and listen to the music at home, for a lot less money.

  • @Uzzie101 If you're going to jump and dance, then why go to the show? You can jump and dance at home, for a lot less money.

I've seen and heard Slint play and it's magic. You don't need to do anything but look and listen. That's what's it about. (and I know this video makes it seem like a boring thing, but when you're actually there, it's totally different, or at least it was for me)

  • @Joris85 To answer your question, because jumping and shouting is so much more fun in massive crowds with live music playing.

  • @Joris85 But I understand what you mean, it's an atmospheric experience.

  • dude they're a fuckin' post-rock band like Godspeed You! BLack Emperor or Sigur Ros I can't really see a mosh pit w/ a post rock group.

  • non live version on my channel

  • I MISS YOUUUUU!!!!!

  • hm never heard such an intense scream as in the end of the song on the album. great...

  • Slint, Husker Du, Sonic Youth, Fugazi = GODS

  • You Forgot Radiohead

    No, i´m joking.

    Pavement! Televsion! Mark Hollis!

  • @toymachineskater93 cough cough..Dinosaur Jr. might fit into that list as well ya' know!

  • I MISS YOU!

One of the best song/album ever!

  • So this is what Pinback means in AFK when they say "and i miss you, not in a Slint way..."

  • apparently... thats what I'm figuring out right now!

  • LOL

  • bologna tremò per una notte.

peccato non ci sian stati anche gli eits.

  • I miss you!!!

  • An awesome, somewhat dissonant sonic slithering. 5 *'s.

  • KIDS!

  • slint FTW!

  • Slint > Music

  • Buckethead has nothing on this, and I've only just found out about this band. Don't be so ridiculous.

  • who cares what you think is the really question

  • Comment removed

  • genius.

  • MY GOD SLINT ROCKS !

  • song works best when you're tired.

  • the concert was great

    this one is my favourite

  • great song!

  • 'let me in'; the voice cried softly..

    from outside the wooden door.

scattered remnants of the ship could be seen in the distance,

blood stained the icy wall of the shore.

  • My favorite Slint song

  • they recorded this song (from the album spiderland) around 1990 and the album was released on touch and go records in 1991, they split shortyly after. these guys are legends. just watched them in dublin on saturday night. superb...
