Before the secondary burner was added the gasses emitted were high in CO and other invisible crap (cant taste it, but can sense its effects on the visual system and nerves)
With the secondary burner the gas is a lot cleaner, I think mostly CO2. its pleasant to cook on it.
This knowledge is important, Fire our first technology and generally where still in the stone age.

Indeed the Kookaburra's and other birds generate quite a lot of noise - makes things hard when you are recording a video!
