question, do cars with 'flappy padle' gearboxes need a clutch that you push down with your foot, it always puzzled me.

@rossy2by5 - flappy paddle gearboxes have an automated clutch that you feel when u take off. however, u cant operate it urself. it only has a break and gas pedal. racecars with flappy padl have a clutch pedal to take off and sometimes for downshifting (Porsche Cup)

does anyone else here think the vantage v12 is completely pointless? the only reason you would buy a vantage over a db9 is because of the engine and the price, with the v12 its basically the same car for the same price as the db9 and it doesnt look as good

@FUCK202 People buy a v12 vantage over a db9 because the v12 is MUCH faster. Its your personal opinion on looks, I think most people agree that the v12 vantage is far sportier and sexier looking. As for noise.. the v12 vantage is Far louder than any DB9. And honestly.. price really shouldn't be an issue for anyone buying these cars. You can only afford to buy a supercar if you can afford to buy 2. Consideration for gas, tax, running costs, services, and tyres. v12 is sports car, db9 is a cruiser

DB7 GT is only from 2003, but I think it'll all come down to whether I prefer a V12 or a V8. who knows what a Db9 will be worth in a few years too...

I was seriously considering a DB7 before I got my Impreza. They're getting on a bit now - out of warranty, less tight engines, and, god forgive me, starting look slightly outclassed by the newer Astons. I'd say take the plunge and go for a V8 - the sound alone is enough to sway me, and I think I'm going Aston ways after the Scooby.

I was looking at a 3.2 DB7 FH - and for the money it was a low-budget one. That tends to lead to money pits and poor satisfaction, so I think I'll wait a few years and buy one either new or (probably) approved used.

I bought my Impreza approved used from a dealer - while I paid a markup on it, in the few thousand miles I've driven it, it's nothing short of epic. Woe betide the Carrera/M3 driver who tries to race me and gets pipped by a 19 year old in a "chav" car.

totally avoid a 3.2 DB7, unless your rich and want to buy it just to put in your living room, it's not worth it. these new V8s will be easily had for less $50k in a few years, that's where Im looking.

Sure, the i6 3.2 will not be a good idea. Relatively bad build on the 97-99 models. However the V12 6.0 litre version is a great car, epic performance ( especially in the manual) and will rip on modern cars costing 2 times as much . Great job at avoiding the i6 tho, Personally I would take an M3 E46 if I made the decision

I think very few people commenting in youtube threads actually get the chance to drift a v8 vantage for themselves.

For that matter most people never get to play with tireslip at all outside of icy roads. With that in mind, this is pretty good driving. Not from a professional perspective, but from the perspective of what most people do.

they aren't on the wheel they're mounted in the steering colum .... but yes it is a paddle shift lol
