Thanks for posting this video, I hope it will help to remove the veil of ignorance from non-Muslims regarding their own history, how thanks to Islam & the work of the Muslim civilisation the west revived from what was termed the "Dark Ages" of christian rule. The renaissance period finds it roots in Baghdad!

I love this about Islam of our great history bringing good to the world, for all people, all races backgrounds and religions not for our own selfish benefit but for the sake of Allah (swt)

Why is it muslim science ? Its a religion. Why dont we talk about Chrtistian Science ? Jewish scientists ? and if we did how would Islam stack up aginst them. How many Nobel Prize winners ? ie what have they done lately ? How does Islamic minds recieve Darwin ? I would rather talk of Arabic, Persian, Indian, Chinese, Greek etc science. It is Islam that has kept back these minds in the Islamic world. Where are the great Isalmic universities ? How many are in the top 100?

@souljah7x Morocco, Algiers, Tunis, and Tripoli...in the 1800s, the Barbary States, were Muslim states that enslaved white Europeans that were kidnapped from ships and the northern mediterranean coastal lands. Their assertion for this action was the Koran and "tribute" was demanded for supposed safety of ships traveling in this part of the world. Many civilized communities had to raise funds to buy freedom for relatives but if sentenced to a muslim corsair ship, death was often imminent.....

@souljah7x History is full of conquerors and conquered. In life there are winners and losers. And no one is getting their land back...unfortunately, not the Mexians, not the Palestinians. Drinking and smoking are hazards to any one using them and drinking or any poison is Haram in Islam(Entire submission to the will of Allah) not do what you please, so you can make non believers comfortable. Why in Palestine alone there are over 80 individual factions that interpret the Koran selectively. It would seem history shows that man made law promotes stability over the inability of shariah law to adequately resolve conflict. And besides..no one is going to tolerate shariah law anyway. Let's hope these little tidbits from history will help the self-esteem of those barbaric souls who wish to throw modern life backwards to a time of bloodshed, evil, abuse of women, and heinous evil to enemies. If patting someone on the head for a constructivist past will help...then good!. They need all the encouragement they can get. Remember that diplomacy is always an option with the West. With Islamic radicals it often is not an option. There really isn't much more to say than that.

@TheKABYLOV The problem is that asserting your own religion for yourself, is not an attack on Islam, However, because Islam expects the whole world to convert, just being a Jew, Christian, Buddhist, HIndu, or atheist, could be considered an attack on Islam. We don't need word games. What we need is a clear enunciation by a Muslim representative body, that says...Islam is one of many religions and all religions have the right to co-exist on this Earth. ...ready?...PS...and no jizzya!

It is unnecessary to mention jizzya if no western land shall ever turn to Islam and sharia law. My point, more politely stated is that all of us in the civilized world with developed industry, technology, and governments that allow differing points of views to exist, would appreciate it if all the radical muslims would grow up. Would a Muslim country in the 21st century provide equal rights and opportunity, protected by the courts of course, for all of it's citizens as in the United States? @TheKABYLOV actually I heard. But it is important to remember that this heinous act occurred in an Islamic country. It isn't just the government and it is not just the foreign aid. The problem is the entire state of existence that comes about in an "Islamic" country. It is proof that religion and governance should be separate. Life will not be better under Islamic rule. All other religions have learned to co-exist. It is time for Islam to understand this and the word is CONVERT not REVERT!
