Now THIS is how a meet and greet should be done. It is SO not this way anymore. They are selling way too many tickets per show and you are rushed so bad that there is literally no time with anyone. Terrible. Not even close to being worth $1000 per ticket. However, if it was like your video above, then it would be terrific. You got very lucky - it's not like this anymore.

I'm going to the KISS M&G on Sep 3 in Chicago. It set me back $982.00. That includes a 1st row center stage ticket. Gene and Paul are legends and you gotta pay for the pleasure of their company. It's only money and it'll come back. Gene & Paul won't be around forever.
I've a KISS Army membership so I got them from the pre-sale this past Tuesday. I was at work so my girlfriend put the order in for me. It's going to be a great night. Meeting my favorite band and seeing them rock the place. I've a pretty decent KISS collection so I'm deciding what I should have them sign but I don't want to be too greedy. I was nervous being around Gene and said to me "Relax, you're my boss". I was at ease after that. My pics with them are up on facebook.
I met them last summer in Sarnia and it was awesome so I wanted to do another Meet and Greet. I'm going to meet them at the 9/11 show with tickets in the 4th row, center stage. Can't get any better than that.

There were 2 large groups for the Meet & Greet...but I found out later they met a ton of people before the paid M&G groups for photo op's. We were told to get in line at 7:20..we did in a cold storage hallway. Group one did not go back to meet them until 8:30. I was in group 2. They spent about 90 seconds after the photo shoot. No other posed photos were allowed. No video taping...it was a massive cluster fawk in Pittsburgh.

The meet & greet in Pittsbugh lasted about 90 seconds...no joke. Pose for photo, get back in line and walk past the band to get a couple signatures. Kept us waiting for 75 minutes in a cold hallway. They sold too many packages to make it fan friendly.
I hear you. Ive waited 35 years to meet them but the way I look at the justification for the cost is: $1,000.00/35 years/365 days = $0.08 cents a day! LOL.
I spend $4.00 a day in coffee so my rational to justify the cost is: I will not buy my 2 coffees for 250 days! LOL.
My Favorite thing about the M&G was getting to meet and talk to Gene Simmons. I relate to his philosophy about life and business as a musician( theatrics,music,promotion , etc.) I've been a fanatic fan of KISS since 1973. KISS music has been and still is:,inspiring,uplifting,comforting,kick ass,and just plain fun to me. I have been a gigging musician for over 30 years and I don't mean to preach, but most people don't realize how much life energy it takes to accomplish what KISS has.

Answers to questions: Yes you can take your video cam and camera to the show. KISS encourages it. 45 Minutes at the Meet and Greet which includes time to get your pictures taken with the bans and time for you to take your own pics/videos, You also have time to meet each member individually and talk with them, also to get two items autographed from each member. About doing the M&G, I HIGHLY recommend it! You WON'T regret it. OOUYEAH!

That was an AWESOME video! I had no idea you could take seperate photos with them after the group shot. I bought 3 meet and greets for the Glendale, AZ show in December. My wife, 7 year old son and myself. I can't wait!! Man if I can have individual pics with them I will be in heaven!
And it's funny how Eric is always cracking on Gene (he did it in the Revenge era as well). Here, he sings, "Do You Love Gene?" and tonight, during "Black Diamond," last verse, he sang, "Gene's got me under his thumb." Really cool how those two get along and much different than with Pete.
VERY expensive, though. It was $995 per ticket in Greenville, SC. I told my wife even if I had it, I wouldn't pay that to meet Jesus Christ; I'd just catch him on the return trip. But the show was so awesome tonight that it would have been nice to have been backstage. Sold-out arena.

I prefer Center stage vs. left or right stage.

Gene is a riot. That is the main reason I watch his a&e show. His humor is very dry, almost British.
There is a supreme form of happiness that comes from being near these guys and you can see it on her face at 1:30.

And it's funny how Eric is always cracking on Gene (he did it in the Revenge era as well). Here, he sings, "Do You Love Gene?" and tonight, during "Black Diamond," last verse, he sang, "Gene's got me under his thumb." Really cool how those two get along and much different than with Pete.

VERY expensive, though. It was $995 per ticket in Greenville, SC. I told my wife even if I had it, I wouldn't pay that to meet Jesus Christ; I'd just catch him on the return trip. But the show was so awesome tonight that it would have been nice to have been backstage. Sold-out arena.

LOL. Yes it WAS expensive. The way I justified the cost was to cut out 2 Medium cups of coffee at DD a day for a year. LOL!
I became a diehard fan in 1973 and always wanted to meet them.
Glad I did. It was FANTASTIC!

I think they do a Meet and Greet at every show and yes it WAS a dream come true for me. Total time spent with them was around 45 minutes.

Paul left because he had met everyone and was done signing autographs, having fans take video and pics etc.
We all got to spend time with each member to talk. IT WAS GREAT!
