Duntech claims they make the world's most accurate speakers. Those claims may be true, but their speakers such as their Sovereign & Crown Prince models are extremely expensive to me.
I have been using K-140, 2440+2308, 2405 with original frequency dividing networks for studio monitors, it's really great sound better than 4350 and 4343.
JBL 660GTi's are nice. they are lighter (main driver cone) than they look. Very well made. I'd like to meet the builder for mine. I also remember the 40 annievers. But these are both car audio another department from the home theatre, but the similar jousted. Well if it wasn’t for one British best looking and sounding cinema the Empire Leicester Square 21 years ago I wouldn’t have brought JBL a year later. The original JBL Lucasfilm THX sound system spec was 13KW JBL x5 4675-A x8 4645 x22 JBL 8830 x15 JBL Urei 6290 amps Dolby CP200 Philips DP70.
Today the Empire kicks a wicked 56KW customized JBL THX! that is most powerful THX cinema in the whole of Europe as well being digital 3D. The sound is out of this world.
Hi, I have the JBL Control Monitor with a Sherwood receiver with 200 watts(100 watts each channel) did you think it have better sound and quality than a Dj or professional amp?
@slaving300 That will depend, which "contol monitor" consumer has a model named that while pro has model lines that share the same name. I don't consider Sherwood a top class receiver, and the spec is not always apples to apples in that catagory so you may find say an Harman Kardon 3490 vs the sherwood is a night and day difference. Or something like a HK HK990 would be in another class all together.
@hyperconnected08 Ok, thanks a lot, I'm searching a receiver with optical input, but Harman Kardon is too expensive for me, which one you recomend me, I need two channels only. And I have the consumer model.
@slaving300 a better amp will make a world of difference, have a pair of these for my bedroom system and they sound amazing. Used them in several installations for home theater too. you might want to check out harman audio dot com for a referb unit or when some special pricing events take place you might be able to grab a deal on one
i dont see why jbl speakers are classed by alot of ppl as more to the low end or mid section of quality if they were the best back then. i mean look at their subs.. why do they make such cheap shit when thy couldave carried on making high end audio. i mean sme of their subs are good but the loww end ones are smething that should be left to other cheap ass companies. as for speakers i dont really see any. maybe i should look up more.
@L00peey I think if you look closer you will find JBL caters to a wider group of consumers than most companies. From the entry level to the top end. They are divided into two sections to cater to the respective audience Consumer and Synthesis. Synthesis is not as widely assorted as JBL goes to great lengths to ensure those products are sold by only the best dealers in the biz. Not the type of product you would see at say a Best Buy.
I 've been using vintage ALNICO JBL. K-120 for guitar amplifier and K-140, 2440, 2311, 2308, 2405 with original crossover network systems for studio monitor.
They have to release again heavy duty speakers for musical instruments.
D-120F, K-120, K-130, K-140, K-151, these are legend in history of Jazz and Rock music scene.
@RhysAitchison The first thing to consider is how large of a room you will DJ in, because that determines what level of system you will need. The cool pare is that there are many companies that rent JBL so if you hit a big gig you can get what you need. On a budget I would look into the JRX line and some of the Crown amplifiers, EON is a good choice and the staple of many DJs. You can also look into a Soundcraft Gigrac as a powered mixer, I own a 1000st and it works well for small gigs
Very nice bro. Do you know about speak packages? I'd like to buy a speak system but not sure about the one I would go. I want something not too big.. any suggestion? JBL CS480,JBL CS6100, Infinity TSS800, Infinity TSS1200,Jamo A340. Do you know them?
@ricardovasco13 CS6100 and TSS1200 are very good systems for mid sized rooms (I would say up to 20 x 20) I would move to larger systems in room sizes above that simply becuase you want to be able to fill the room with sound but not drive the system beyond say 60% so you can preserve some room for dynamics in the music and explosions and such in movies
good speakers is important, bad speakers can really ruin good music. If you got a pair of good speakers you will perhaps really enjoy the good electronic music that i got on my page.have a great day : )
@kopjesenseo you must be thinking about some other speakers jbl are known for not being aggresive and haveing the smothest and best midrange sound avalible !! i think you have them confused for ev or selenium or maby jl audio !!
@kopjesenseo Nice one man, if only you knew what you were talking about. If this was the case, I would not oun jbl stuff, but thats all I want in my truck or home. Watch my dirty bass video and then tell me jbl speakers dont sound good.
UNBELIEVABLE !! For the first time ever I saw an ad on my JBL Signature speaker. I have never seen another one and could not find any information on it, and there it is pictured at 1:03, and it is called the HARLAN. It has a very ultra modern styled corner cabinet, and the grill is curved like a radar screen. It has 2 D-130 bass 1- 175DLH HF Driver ,and an 075 bullet tweeter I added. At least I know the name now JBL Harlan It flashed by so quick I almost missed it.
Man I LOVE my JBL S3VC's JBL S2C's and my recent additions of JBL SAM3VA all SYNTHESIS speakers. Love how the horn implementation adds extreme high decibel listening while retaining audiophile quality sound
The opening of the video would make a neat JBL trailer for JBL THX cinemas like the 56KW Empire Leicester Square London screen 1 along with a Dolby trailer and lately a THX amazing life trailer!
Ohh JBL ! the dream, still the great dream all over the world from world leading factory (real factory while 80% of the others just assemble components made under specification and impossible to find when problem arrive) JBL it's 70% of the greatest recordings from fabulous 60's, 70's and 80's withe legendary 43 serie (still in a lot of recording studio like HAMMOND B3 organ)Today, JBL is still the reference in studio (LSR SERIE) live concerts with VERTEC and cinemas with state of the art system
Toby speakers are better.

jbl the best?? not for me, jbl sounds often aggresive and not the most clear
lacking good midrange often lots of bas and highs to impress teeners and
dumheads. to me there are so many better brands and when not then
design and make your own speakers!

what you sai is possible that jbl have a range of speakers with exellent
midrange,i don't know what type and i don't think that every jbl speaker
sounds poor.
