A gamming computer can run fsx perfectly if the settings are tweaked correctly, people shouldnt expect a standard home pc to be able to run a simulator as it requires a considerable amount of processing power.

Nothing about flight simulator X makes anyone a proper pilot its a video game.

Most people fly jets because they're more of a challenge to fly, and for me, they're more worth my time simulating than a boring old 172 which I can already fly in real life.

Okay then, tell me what's wrong with a Kingair, J41, or even a C130. The procedures involved are somewhat similar to that of a jet.

By GA I don't just mean C172. It can be anything from a Piper Cub all the way up to complex turbo-prop aircraft.

All present similar challenges.

Flying GA involves more piloting skill. Flying airliners is just one procedure after another. Don't get me wrong, I love flying the PMDG 737 - but it's much more pleasurable to have a hands on flying experience with GA.

I totally agree. Also, It seems to me like those planes are harder to fly in FS with hand precision than the jets on FS.

GA is mostly fun with excellent scenery. I used to have addon for almost every major city in every state plus Mega Scenerys. That harddrive got a virus so now I'm up to FSX which is a totally awesome flight experience. GA is more pleasurable in FSX than FS9.

Get REX when it comes out, a very good airport add-on (Fs dreamteam) some sweet photo realistic scenery and the level-d 767 or any PMDG aeroplane. FSX will look old then.

There are some things better about FS9 than FSX and vice versa, but I generally prefer FSX for the better graphics and improved simulation. FS9 is still a great game and some of the addons are amazing, but I prefer FSX.
