Check Rivals. We have the 35th best class in the nation. Better than Oregon AND Wazzu. And if you're reffering to J.R. Hasty, an over-rated problem. We'll be fine. We also got a Texas transfer at Runningback in Mike Houston
You might also check Rivals for each of the last 5 years. All the superstars UW has right now were highly rated recruits. Their recruiting rating has been higher than WSU's every single year, ever. That just doesn't matter.
Part of the reason is that the bulk of the "Stars" we have now were recruited by Neuiweasel. Keith Gilbertson was actually a horrible recruiter, but now that we have Willingham in just two years he's got some great players that will help us in our 2007 Bowl push.
Bill Doba in turn is a horrible recruiter. Mike Price was actually good.
You still don't seem to understand because Neuheisel's and Gilbertson's recruits were "highly rated". Neither Price's or Doba's recruits have ever been "highly rated" whether by Rivals, Scout.com, Tom Lemming, PrepStar.com, or anybody whose stuff you subscribe to. That's not saying that any of those coaches can or can't recruit. It does mean that recruiting ratings services mean nothing.
They mean nothing because some of our highly touted recruits haven't panned out? You act like the Cougars average recruits have panned out, sorry to break it to you but the Cougars are still fairly mediocre under Bill Doba and so are his recruiting classes. Rivals, Scout and etc. are way more times right about these recruits than they are wrong. They are a great barometer of measuring talent and what schools recruit well and don't.
We also "got a" Texas "Runningback" in DeMaundray Woolridge...Yeah I guess skipping classes at a UNIVERSITY is an OVER-RATED problem...wow! They expect me to go to class?
