I can tell you that Hakim is very interesstet in danish hymns. he thinks they are realy good. He was in Sakskøbing to play concert and then wrote the Sakskøbing-preludies. You will also find many danish hymns in his improvisationbook. Actually he is learning to talk danish so that he is able to understand the message of the hymn better.

naji is the most brilliant, humblest and friendliest organist that i have ever met. I have had a long association with him and his music. Rather liked here in Canada...but i seem to be one to champion his work. It's fantastic, and I have an affinity for his work. So exciting! WOO!!! I gave Canadian Premiere of Vexilla Regis Prodeunt in Calgary 95, everyone gobbled it right up! Finished with it. Started with the Final of Vierne 6, the sandwich Jongen Eroica.

cool but watching this movie is like watching an actor... in the end i was waiting for an big explosion of the organ and mr hakim saving the victims herolike...

irgendwie schauspielert er mir zu sehr... am ende hab ich eigentlich erwartet, dass die orgel explodiert und er die opfer als strahlender held rausträgt...

A very nice improvisation on this Danish hymn by Carl Nielsen! What is it with Hakim and Danish hymns? Anyone knows his relation to Denmark?
