When a dog is left "intact" male or female and it is NOT BRED, then a variety of diseases can become present. Cancer is one of the most common. I worked at a vet's office and there was a female who had to have an emergency hysterectomy because of severe ovarian cancer. A male Rottweiler had to be neutered because of testicular cancer. This DOES NOT mean run around and breed your

@marisolakashortstuff pet just so you don't have get them fixed. It is not only wrong because you are contributing to the severe pet overpopulation, but it is also against the law now. If your dog is over 4 months, you MUST, by law have them fixed UNLESS you have a breeder's license. Your vet can and will report you if you don't. I hope this information helped.
