  • Cool song and lesson

  • must be a easier way to play this

  • but the only part im confused on is the picking after its moved to the 3rd fret..

  • i was sitting on the computer wondering if there would be a vid on how to play this, i was worried there wouldnt be. so thanks a bunch for making one =)

  • For the second part of the intro/verse instead of the 5th fret on the 2nd string you can use open 3rd string for the same note, although it has a little more ring to it.

  • Thanks Ryan! I've been a fan for a few years now and love to show your Vids here on Youtube to friends who amazingly' haven't heard your work. Ill be watching for more tutorials and might possibly vet over myself as im a little camera shy and record a cover as I love to sing several of tour pieces.

  • thanks! I've been waiting for this =)

  • Thanks Ryan!! However, I do have something more to ask : as I am French, I can't understand all the words in your songs. So, do you have the lyrics anywhere? :)

  • @lamissisis if you go to my website and click on "store" you will be able to listen to the album and also see the lyrics for the tracks there.

  • @knorrby11 Right! Thanks! Now I can try and cover your wonderful song =)

  • Ryan!!!! Thanks man!!! I asked you about this half a year ago I am so glad you finally made this dude!!!!! Made my friggin day! thanks bro

  • Question... why put it in half step down if you're just going to use a Capo... umm that's the same as Standard tuning with Capo on 3rd..

  • @ShallopNewf he doesnt have a cutaway so i guess thats why

  • @cnashrun30 a cutaway doesn't affect the tuning.

  • @vampirelover54 but he doesnt have a cutaway so he drops the tuning to play that high im assuming

  • @cnashrun30 ohhh, i get what you're saying now! you mean higher on the neck?

but, in half step down you put the capo one fret above the original. so, it would actually help to have it in standard.

but he just said that most of his original songs were in 1/2 step down and he just didn't want to retune. lol

  • @vampirelover54 my bad i had it backwards. good point and i just read that

  • @cnashrun30 i thought you were saying the cutaway had something to do with the tone of his guitar. :P

  • Comment removed

  • @cnashrun30 just to make sure no one gives flak to me, I'm not dissing him at all. :P I like this song. But yeah, without a cutaway means it would be better to play in standard keepin capo 3.. :P stays away from the body. right?

  • @ShallopNewf o no i know your not dissing him hes badass it was just a suggestion

  • @ShallopNewf you are correct, but the reason is that many of my other original songs are in 1/2 step down with no capo. For that reason I don't really ever tune back to standard and just move the capo according. No reason to retune if you can just put the capo 1 fret higher.

  • @knorrby11 sounds logical to me.

:) thanks for the tutorial though, the song is amazign heh :P

  • Thanks a lot, i love this song. U'r a great teacher, doc :D

  • Thanks this is awesome

  • thanks man, this is way better than tabs :)

  • I picked thisup by ear a while ago but great tutorial. I love your music Ryan!

  • Nick Motil and I learned the song by ear. but I hope this helps everybody else. maybe they can tab this on ultimate-guitar

  • thanks man!

  • thanks:)
