All a president can do is suggest a bill. Congress has to approve it. So yes Obama has made a few bad decisions but the reason nothing has really changed is because Congress won't pass anything. So people shouldn't just be mad at the President it's not all his fault. Am I right?

Even if he made an "early call" on GW's victory, I found it interesting that other networks followed suit without question. There was alot in the media about accuracy of new voting machines..what it comes down to me is, if the election was stolen; just to think about where our country would have been in someone else's hands...we'll never know. It irritates me so much when people ask, "Where are the jobs?" Anyone who has simple read a history or economics textbook can tell you that job growth lags behind economic growth. Pretty much every recession ever follows that trend. Both Democrats and Republicans wanted a bailout and that's how a bailout works. You bailout the corporations, they get back on track, THEN job growth happens. This can take a year, two years, depending how severe the recession is. This is why bailouts suck.

All a president can do is suggest a bill. Congress has to approve it. So yes Obama has made a few bad decisions but the reason nothing has really changed is because Congress won't pass anything. So people shouldn't just be mad at the President it's not all his fault. Am I right?

reminds me of something i had read recently on reverse engineering a rumour by means of googlebombing. basically you get a lot of people to make a search for a topic, the topic eventually makes it to the #1 slot in google trends, then bloggers catch on this and take the search and add a question mark, so suppose it was "dogs responsible for aids" this becomes "are dogs responsible for aids?" then its not long before the jump gets made to "dogs are responsible for aids"

Even if he made an "early call" on GW's victory, I found it interesting that other networks followed suit without question. There was alot in the media about accuracy of new voting machines..what it comes down to me is, if the election was stolen; just to think about where our country would have been in someone else's hands...we'll never know. No politican is perfect but it should be a fair vote at least.

Because of the system, it is possible to have more electoral votes. Democratic-leaning states tend to have higher population, thus more electoral votes. One scenario in which Gore would have won was in a statewide recount of the ballots.
But every scenario brought the two within a margin of only 500 votes out of about 6 million.
So there are arguments on both sides....

I am not aware of any study that had Gore winning. Can you tell me one? Lastly, when an election comes down to, like you said a few hundred (the closest was 600+ actually) votes we will never really know who would have won.

It irritates me so much when people ask, "Where are the jobs?" Anyone who has simple read a history or economics textbook can tell you that job growth lags behind economic growth. Pretty much every recession ever follows that trend. Both Democrats and Republicans wanted a bailout and that's how a bailout works. You bailout the corporations, they get back on track, THEN job growth happens. This can take a year, two years, depending how severe the recession is. This is why bailouts suck.

Its painfully obvious to anyone with even the slightest pea of a brain that fox and the republicans want america to fail so they can get back in power. I bet they jump for joy every time they see unemployment rise or a terrorist bombing in pakistan. They don't give 2 shits about any of you and if and when they do get back in power, it will be tax breaks for the rich and business as usual. Democrats need to wake up and grow a pair.

Think I'm wrong. Almost everything bought now in america is foreign. From, furniture, to underwear. Even if you computer was built in america all its parts are foreign. Spending more money isn't going to bring back jobs niether is raising taxes, because in the end all our jobs are overseas.

I know where all the jobs are. They packed up and moved to china, india, etc for cheaper labor. Those small business left behind got washed up buy big corps like walmart, target, kmart. So what can a government do on both sides if companies get money from america but none of it trickles back to the american people to spend?

At the last part the reason why loyal Fox viewers do not see the bias is because they do not rewind what they see on tv in their minds and question it.
They don't go "Huh, Obama's a Muslim?Umm okay..?" or "Wait....Obama is a fascist, a communist and a socialist and a radical liberal? Those all oppose each other so that can't be right" they just see what is shown and accept it as fact. They don't see the difference between opinion and news and they honestly don't care.

No one is saying that. The govt is spending to get out of the recession. The govt has to spend to get out of the recession because no one else is.
And where were all the right wing complaints of govt spending when W was running the deficit to record heights? Oh right. They were saying, "Support the President or you're not a loyal American."

@DarthServo You just said what I'm saying. The government is trying to spend more money to get us out of the recesion, that isn't how republicans think a country gets out of a recesion. That's maybe why there not voting for our Presidents proposed bills.

@nuggetsfan15100 uhh.. the damage bush has done could last decades.. every decision Obama has made was to try and fix bush's fuckups. the recession began right before Obamas election, so if it takes 5 years to recover, its not Obamas fault, its Bush's fault.

but thats not true. i agree it hasnt happened as quickly as i would like. but the stimulus kept many businesses, banks, car industries from going bankrupt and sending many more thousands home with no jobs, homes, money, etc. he is working on hcare, (which 60% of bankruptcys occur from), and now hes began to work on job production. hes doing everything he said, hes just doing it slower and with incredible stonewalling from republicans. its hard to do anything when 49% of cong sais no 2 everything

it is very easy to break a country. However it is 100 times harder to rebuild it. It becomes 1000 times harder if you're just getting obstructions on every single point from the senate. And it is 10000 times harder when networks like Fox news spread lies and fear through "news" among American people. A 100000 time harder because of corporations getting too much freedom. And it becomes a million times harder when people like you aren't ready to admit that your nation is broken and believe in lies

@rjddude1 yeh, true... This nation is broken... breaking anyways. It's still better than many countries... probably most. I wouldn't want to live in china, russia, or Europe... especially not africa... and even less South America. Australia? Nah. Canada has a good geological position but those people are culturally dead... etc. What can you do... America may be broken but so is the rest of the world.

@rjddude1 not a religious sort myself, but i fail to see how i took this out of context. u said corps shldn't be allowed 'too much freedom'. i disagree w/that whole heartedly. u then jumped to the oil spill. we've had many hundreds of wells operating w/out an incident in decades. accidents happen. gonna stop driving? gonna shut down airlines, and public transport, and interstate trucking? gonna give up your a/c and hot water and pc and tv? oil powers it all. so what do we do?
