@anu123km: To correct you my friend, Greece and us Greeks are STILL here! They've tried(and still trying) to subdue us but they can't. Our traditions, music, literature, food, behavior are in continuance with the past. BTW, love your music/dances.

@amalialovesicecream I too love Greek culture and history. What I meant is that old Greek civilization and religious philosophies have not survived in their original form:(

Anyways I am sure you know about glorious Indo-Greek civilization which flourish from 100 BC to 1000 AD in central Asia, Afghanistan and western Indian sub-continent untill it was destroyed by Islam?

India and West are gr8 civilizations which little conflict between them:)

and compare between our cultures. BTW, I did study Indian history/culture in univ. Do not believe mainstream history that says Greek history started @ 4000yrs.ago. The Hellenistic period of interaction was the most prolific.Just the Orphic Hymns were compiled @ 12000yrs ago. more later.
