I loved the Metaphor of the Natives (The Na'vi) fighting to defend their land from deforestation and tyranny from Corporate Colonialism (The Humans)! A powerful Sci-Fi / Fantasy that is VERY timely for our day!!! Please see my review(s) of the movie on my Channel. Thanks!
Right now, different studios and what not are reportedly bidding for the right. It's been mentioned that with new 3D technology and it's success, mot major blockbusters will be done in that format.
Apparently some of the new technology enables Jim to watch the "dailies" (different camera takes) with completed CGI effects on each one as it's been filmed.
bunch of sad bastards AVATAR DAy just release the fucking film better yet JIM come round to my crib and show me it and I'll tell you wheter its good or not and you can go back to the drawing board from there!
you know, I'm not gonna argue with you, if you like it, fine with me, but my opinion fullmetal alchemist, inuyasha, fullmoon, coboy bebop, some REAL anime. don't start with me on how avatar is an anime cuz it ain't. O and I'm sorry if he isn't bald, I don't actually care, bald shaved, wateva, same to me. and avatar day wasn't a coined phrase either, the term avatar has existed longer than te cartoon, adding the word day to it doesn't make it copyrited, its like trying to copyrite the word "the"
hey dude, don't be a loser and fight for your loser cartoons, watch cool ones. O and this is a diffrent avatar than that bald ass kid. O and the word avatar doesn't come from the cartoon it comes from hinduism, so no one has the rights to it, duh! go die! (sorry didn't mean to be so mean, but ignorance needs to be scolded, again, I apologize deeply.)
Technically, only 4 years committed to this project (which is still about 2-4 times more time than is spent on most HUGE projects).
But legwork has been done gradually over the last 12 or so years, starting with the Fusion camera system and culminating in the revolutionary 3D performance capture system with real time preview for both actors and camera operators - although Cameron said he prefers "evolutionary", as he believes this was inevitable.
Actually cameron had the rights for Avatar before nickelodeon did. Avatar: the Last Airbender is the official name for the series that everyone calls Avatar.
Yeah, but try to get in and see 15min of the film, theaters are going to be swamped with people, you'll have to wait in long lines, the film sounds great though,Weaver still looks great for her age.

I don't want to watch 16 minutes of avatar, cause the movie might be like 2:30 hours & watching 16 mins might ruin the fun.
