use the gameshark and float over an edge, he'll do the same when you fall on it, but not as long. it won't work in places that have no bottom (like in ganon's castle in the shadow room) or lava (like the fire room also in ganon's castle)
You know, an easier way to do that is to go to Lake Hylia and swim towards the fishing area, but try to climb onto the land where there isn't enough space for Link to stand. The same thing happens there, but you don't need to spend ages timing it right.
i get this ALL the time! XD a good place to do it, is in the lab by the lake- jump off the side of the iron floor thing in that lil pool thing of water, and just jump off so u can land on the middle of that lil thing in the pool, and it'll do that- and yes, i always find it funny =P but one time i couldn't get out of it, so i had to restart x.x (good thing i save constantly!)
You must be really lucky then. Only other place I found for this is near one of the pieces of heart in Zora's River (not sure about this, it's in one of the Zora areas anyway) as Adult Link but he only makes the sound, turns around and falls down.
