  • I thought U were very entertaining while trying how to give the FINGER to BOA! I'm a FAN! Great music selection and ending comments too!

    Pat

  • @patuncfan1 Thank you for your praise. I hope that you have enjoyed my other episodes as well. Stay tuned because Episode IV is coming very soon!

  • I love these pompous pieces of shit who say: "It's your own fault for not reading the fine print dumbass!" To all of you condescending geniuses out there: You're right, I didn't read the fine print. I just assumed, like a logical fucking human being, that if I didn't have sufficient funds in my account to pay for something with my debit card the register would reject the transaction. Why didn't paper checks just overdraft your account back in the day? Why did they bounce instead?

  • I watched your video and I really understand your frustration. If you want to make Bank of America pay for what they did to you, and thousands of others, you should watch this guy's video;

DEADLY BLOW ! TO Bank of America

You should contact this guy, he is really serious.

  • Bank at WF, BOA or any real bank and get the same think for NO monthly fee. Banks don't charge overdraft fees on debit card purchases--same as this walmart card. Why pay a fee every time you want to add money to the card if you can just have your check put into the bank? ... oh, and good luck getting a loan from walmart

  • Well hanna, you'd technically be giving you money to GE Money Bank via Walmart. But you'd have to go through a bank none the less. But now most banks offer opt out to overdraft protection so the point is moot.

    A,nyhow thanks for tuning in!

  • I like the idea of giving banks the finger, but NO WAY am I giving WalMart all my money!

You can't trust their slave labor using asses.

  • thanks!

  • GE bank is the worst bank of all time. from personal experience i can tell you that if you call them you will never be able to talk to a real person so good luck if you ever have an issue. the EASIEST way to avoid overdraft fees is to NOT SPEND MONEY YOU DONT HAVE. keep your checkbook balanced and separate your bills account from your spending account. you can get a free bank account at any bank.

  • @galaz77

Well's Fargo just got a huge legal judgment against them for changing up the order of processing withdraws and deposits. Basically, they'd process the withdraws first, form largest amount to smallest, and then process the deposits. So, you could have put enough money in the bank to keep you in the black, but they screw you with processing order in order for you account to cross the 0 line for a short time so they can ding you with the fee.

  • Its called a check register and basic math. By the way, George Lucas called and he wants his music back.

  • They did the exact thing to me as well. There is NO REASON for BoA to withold a paycheck, when my credit union deposits the same employment checks IMMEDIATELY.

This is BoA's goal: SET AS MANY TRAPS as you can, and rake in the dollars when the customer falls into them. -I closed my BoA accounts, stopped payment on credit card, changed my address and phone number since then... I figure the big BAILOUT I paid them with my taxes covers any debts I had with BoA.

  • Scary stuff, to think that the big three banks are basically an oligopoly which, by the way is illegal. I got an idea maybe if, we all band together and spread the word that were not going to pay anymore overdraft fees they''ll get the point. Is this were the executives get their bonuses? What fair certainly not what their doing. Anyone in the middle class group can be sent into the red thus maximizing overdrafts ?"anyone".

  • Thanks man!!! i have been thinking about the prepaid card Im gonna get one right now, I blog about life and money is one of the main things I talk about (my blog is in spanish)

  • Even the online banking does not show the correct transaction records, so you can't go by that! It's just not easy banking, even when you balance your checkbooks, if you know that one item put you over, and expect one overdraft fee--Surprise!!-- you'll have TEN overdraft fees because the other transactions (small ones) are still pending!?! after 4 days? WOW on $35 charge as opposed to ten!? I'd say that's robbery!!

  • But, that doesn't mean that the banks should do what there doing! If there are any mistakes on the customer's part (and why are we customers or consumers to the bank), by a penny, the bank will get at least $35.When you return a purchase, it doesn't go back into your bank right away, so they can get you that way.Direct deposits don't go in right away, & are pending for at least a day!

  • There are truths on both sides of this argument. Yes, having an ATM card is better, and Yes, you should balance your checkbook.

  • This is informative, thank you, im tired of battling Wells Fargo.

  • let me make it straight. if u r overdrawn, its completely ur falt, not banks, and U do know that there will be a fee on ur account if U keep spendng money from the bank even if u dont have, doesnt it make sence to U ? the easy way of controlling ur money or avoiding OD's is get a ATM card instead of a debit card, that will avoid overspending . U cant banks for not being organized...

  • @mohsininusa Not true, banks deliberately hold postings and process large items first and have extremely confusing online banking statements. In other word they maximize potential for fees at all oppurtunities.

I would guess you have never lived on an extremely low budget constantly flirting with OD.

I'm not entirely disputing banking fees or that it is usually the customers fault but a few bucks can cost hundreds. The punishment should fit the crime.

  • GREAT!!!

  • if you keep a check register you can never overdraft an account. its just not possible. it takes basic math to add your deposits and subtract any w/d's done.....then No fees...gee what a novel idea

  • I agree with you Barish44. I havn't overdrawn since I was younger, stupider, and in schools till. These habitual whiners want someone else to take accountability for their actions. Like the ones that got into houses they couldn't afford that kicked off this mess. the silver lining is for every one of these retards there are 10 responsible consumers like us that manage our accounts and arn't career overdrafters and whiners.

  • what do you mean? by A CHECK REGISTER?

  • I love my Walmart Money Card. I absolutely will not apply for a credit card with a bank. They are rip off artists.

  • Call BOA now and ask to cancel overdraft protection....I just did myself!

Call Senator Chris Dodd and show your support for his bill that will stop this shit from happening. He will limit the amount of Overdraft fees to 1 per month, 6 per year. Overdraft fees must be proportionate to the cost of processing an overdraft charge. His number is 202-224-2823. Call and show your support. Google Chris Dodd's overdraft legislation for more information. Pass this message on...post it wherever you can.

  • Bruthaman you are ridiculously stupid. It's about a Company practicing what will soon be illegal predatory manipulation of transactions to mazimize profit.

  • andy, the only asshole w/ no awareness is you. to even complain about getting an overdraft fee makes you a bigger douchebag than you think. if you have $100 in your checking account and you spend $105, you're overdrawn...and you're an asshole for not paying attention to how much money you have in your account. don't spend what you don't fuckin have, idiot.

  • Hey if you want to defend corrupt business practices go ahead. Just know you're wrong. Yeah accountability has a lot to do with it, we should all be accountable. As should the Banks, they are committing legalized robbery. They can let my Debit card go through as approved at a convenience store and let my account go over $0.15, then charge me a $39 fee. That's ridiculous. Oh by the way its real easy for you to bump your gums hiding behind a computer screen.

  • what the fuck am i gonna do? come to queertown, tx where you live and whoop your sissy ass? why don't you learn to spend the money that you have and not have the bank cover it for you? spending money that isn't yours is robbery. noone lets your acct go over except you. i'd tell you this to your face then bitch slap you because you deserve it. get on with your nonsense. i won't treat you like a bitch if you don't act like one!

  • if you don't understand the basic concept of accountability, i'll be more than happy to spell it out for you, numbnuts. it's a shame you put "texas" in your name because now you put every texan including myself on the short yellow bus you ride on. why call a fuckin senator to limit overdraft fees when you can pay attention to what's in your account and don't spend more. that doesn't take an act of congress just an act of common sense...oh...i forgot who i'm talking to!

  • it's been at least 4-5 years since i've gotten an o/d fee from boa and when i did, i didn't plan properly. see...it's all about accountability. i don't spend what i don't have available to spend. 11 years w/ boa and i couldn't be happier.

  • pretty entertaining video, nick. my only question to you is why is it so difficult to just stop spending when you know you have like $15-$20 left on your card? why complain about getting an o/d fee when you can be responsible, know how much you have before you actually spend and purchase accordingly? also, getting a walmart card would probably cost more per year than any single o/d occurrence. the avg consumer has 4 bills so you'll spend a lil over $42 per year w/ a walmart card paying bills

  • I was thinking about those cards, I am glad you can direct deposit your check to them. The only reason I opened a checking account is because I needed to direct deposit. I have only been hit up for one 35$ fee, but I am tired of walking on egg shells with my bank. I really don't like Wachovia, they have harassed my mother for years with their fees. Usually over a dollar or two. Time people tell the banks they have pay their own mistakes. They were only meant to be a town vault, not a boss!!

  • please stop spinning

  • Fuck those $35 fees

  • Aren't money cards like Walmart and Green Dot for, you know, losers who can't open regular bank accounts because they're blacklisted on ChexSystems? The best way to avoid OD's and keep enjoying the convenience of having a bank account is limit your outgoing money to no more than 75% of your incoming money.

  • Thanks, I wasn't aware of this card via Wal*Mart.

However, two minutes of credits?! What I viewed was only your name. (FF'd through most of it.) You might want to rethink that portion for future videos.

Subbed all the same, for the great info. Just keep in mind 99% of viewers won't watch the credits. lol

  • So true

  • Everything you mentioned about that card is just like a bank. There are many ways to avoid fees with the banks, and the fees and the terms and conditions you went over are the same as any bank. The only difference were the OD fees, but since that card acts like a credit card and not a debit card thats why you cant overdraw.

  • BOA told me that the best way to use the card was to always choose DEBIT and the funds immediately come out - that is total BS...

I use a Chase e-pay card and don;t miss the bank at all!!!

  • Hi Lemonrain82. That's an excellent question & it's one I've wrestled with for many years. I was fortunate enough to be introduced to a man that was a branch manager of a WAMU. He explained to me how the whole overdraft-situation works and why it's so easy for customers to get them. I will go into more detail about this in my next episode (due soon). To put it briefly: the bank execs' bonuses are tied to OD fees and they post larger transactions before smaller ones to get more of them.

  • Why do you ever overdrawn your bank account? I don't understand. No money in your account? Don't spend your money then!

  • Lemon the concept you mentioned is too difficult for these babies to understand. They just want to vent on some venue like Youtube because thats the only place they can convince someone that spending more than they had in thier accoutn is OK and NOT their fault.

  • moron- have you read that the banks take things out of chronilogical order and go from biggest pay to lowest- without telling us? That means when my check register shows everything is OK- and so does the banks web-page, then the next day you are overdrawn- there is a problem. I suppose you do not live check to check like most of us.
