This should be pokemon grey/gray's frontier brain theme. A few reasons:

1: The piano solo sounds battle frontierish

2: The guitar solo near the end sounds like the guitar thing in gen 4 frontier brain music.

3:The bells

Even though the music seems playful but aggressive at the same time. Im not the type of guy who askes for thumbs but just for now if anyone agrees with this comment, maybe vote;)

I have pretty much the same thoughts as you when it comes to gym leader battles :P When I listen to this, I can also hear that there is more going on at a time than in your earlier work, it sounds amazing! Very nice how the notes play together.

I see that you captured the playful feeling well. I feel you should've thrown in a little dramatic part for balance, but that's my opinion. You use the saxes and piano very well, and I enjoyed the tubular bells. Good job. :D

This is freaking awesome! Though, it sounds a bit too "friendly" to be a Gym Leader's theme, this seems more suited for a Trainer or Rival battle theme D: Like you know how Gym Leader's themes have like trumpets and big ol' drums and stuff? But regardless I really love this theme! 9001/5 ;)

@BloodfelX Thanks! My understanding is that the final product will be made with RPG Maker, which I believe outputs executable computer programs (.exe), so I am not sure if an emulator is needed. It's being made from scratch, not like a hack, which is the impressive part of the project. Stay tuned though, more to come!
