i probably say this because i am a tom baker dr fan now aged 40...but this man carried it off so well...i personally dont think a time lord that has seen it all should be played by a 26 year old...but give matt smith a chance in fairness.
@DragonSporks I think Matt Smith is brilliant as the doctor...he may look young but he carries the weariness of a 900 year old time lord. He's nutty like the older doctors and at times just as dark. The Moffat story's are at times convoluted and I end up going...ok just go with. Dr Who should be dark and weird. I am finding it hard to take to Amy Pond but I will giver her time. At least she isn't a bimbo.
@musicalglenn Oh goody! Another doubter converted! I agree completely about Matt Smith. I personally rather like Amy, but like Rory even more- he's got a real Jamie McCrimmon feel about him :) Steven Moffat had me at "Curse of the Fatal Death," but I think the first two episodes of this series blew away everything else so far... very dark, very convoluted, very, very awesome. (And Moffat has explicitly stated that Rose is never coming back ever, so that should make you happy on the bimbo front.)
David Morrissey would've made a brilliant doctor!

@musicalglenn Out of curiosity, a year later, what do you think? Are you a Smith/Moffat fan now?
