Leigh Nash rocks simply because she rocks. Sixpence none the Richer has the most amazing songs I’ve ever heard (or many of them). If she's religious or not has nothing to do with it. At most I find it amusing to see someone who still hasn't lost hope, and it really saddens me to find that people still judge based on religious belief. It is the most sad thing. I myself am an atheist and don't find nothing wrong or demining, just cute and impressive that she can stand for her beliefs.
Well, yes, she is actually pretty much a fundie. As to the others, their talent (or lack of) and their behavior has nothing to do with religion. Good people are good, and bad are bad, regardless of "humble faith."

So sad this thread has been degraded. I've been an informed fan of Leigh for several years. I can tell you that Leigh is among the sweetest, kindest, and of course, most talented young ladies one could ever meet. She is truly humble, earnestly loves people, and has no inkling to become full with herself, even though she knows she's gifted. Leigh oozes a genuine sweetness because she was raised right, and she rests in the knowledge that she is thoroughly loved by her God!

Yup he was. He was trying to be funny but instead I think he just made her feel awkward with his stupid interruptions and comment of visiting her at her hotel. Normally I like Lettermans comic timing but here it was just very annoying and made him look like a dick.
Leigh seems like such a sweetheart. How Letterman could treat her with such disrespect is inexcusable. She, nonetheless presented herself with such class and grace that, well, I think she showed him up. Take care Leigh and may God Bless you in every way possible.

I like Dave's show, but I think the sum of his body language here shows he didn't agree with Leigh's religious views and he was lying when he pretended he did:
1. As soon as she says "Christianity," Dave mumbles "yeah."
2. As soon as she says "God," Dave involuntarily scratches his nose.
3. After Leigh explains the reference, Dave says "that's very nice," but clears his throat loudly and coarsely.
4. Dave says "that makes perfect sense," but then hides/wipes his mouth.

I met her and the band a couple times after they performed at the House of Blues...yeah she is really cute and you can tell she's really shy too. Ironically I was nervous talking to her both times...
Yes, she was the Funnel Cake shop girl working at Schlitterbahn, New Braunfels, TX, during HS. What blessings she's received & what a blessing she is...an incredibly gifted young lady.
No...just a big fan. Leigh blogged a boatload of personal stuff from '05 - '07 off her MySpace. She shared about her HS days. The girl is hilarious, incredibly affable & totally 'real'. She wrote of how two 'hooker' types, gunning for her hunky boyfriend started talking smack about Leigh right in front of her at the funnel cake shop...not knowing Leigh was dating the object of their affections. Then Leigh's beau arrived to rescue her, as she glared at the girls...lots of funny stuff.

Yup he was. He was trying to be funny but instead I think he just made her feel awkward with his stupid interruptions and comment of visiting her at her hotel. Normally I like Lettermans comic timing but here it was just very annoying and made him look like a dick.

Leigh seems like such a sweetheart. How Letterman could treat her with such disrespect is inexcusable. She, nonetheless presented herself with such class and grace that, well, I think she showed him up. Take care Leigh and may God Bless you in every way possible.

At the end, you can see on Leigh's face that despite Dave's gratuitous "God bless you," she realizes she might as well have been talking to an atheist. Too bad she was dissed on the show. She was so polite and well spoken...

I'm an Atheist and I got the metaphors...I don't think he was that interested in speaking to Leigh at all.

It's kind of sick, this atheism thing. I'm not really an atheist, but an anti theist. (I know there's no "god", atheists= there "can" be a "god" )
Anyways, when she said: " "god" bless you"- she went from cute and well spoken to ok, and an idiot :(

I like Dave's show, but I think the sum of his body language here shows he didn't agree with Leigh's religious views and he was lying when he pretended he did:
1. As soon as she says "Christianity," Dave mumbles "yeah."
2. As soon as she says "God," Dave involuntarily scratches his nose.
3. After Leigh explains the reference, Dave says "that's very nice," but clears his throat loudly and coarsely.
4. Dave says "that makes perfect sense," but then hides/wipes his mouth.

I met her and the band a couple times after they performed at the House of Blues...yeah she is really cute and you can tell she's really shy too. Ironically I was nervous talking to her both times...

No...just a big fan. Leigh blogged a boatload of personal stuff from '05 - '07 off her MySpace. She shared about her HS days. The girl is hilarious, incredibly affable & totally 'real'. She wrote of how two 'hooker' types, gunning for her hunky boyfriend started talking smack about Leigh right in front of her at the funnel cake shop...not knowing Leigh was dating the object of their affections. Then Leigh's beau arrived to rescue her, as she glared at the girls...lots of funny stuff.
