  • @MoriNoSatori: Bald spots can mean more than one thing. Urticating hairs are on this species but whether they will kick them at you is individual to the spider and depends on the spider's age and species. Mine has never flicked hairs at me but I've dealt with juveniles that seemed to kick hairs at will. A spider also goes bald if they're older and haven't molted in quite some time. See if you can check the spider's temperment prior to purchase.

  • Don't bald spots mean ulcerating hairs? I'm thinking about getting one, but I'm not sure how prone they are to ejecting these hairs.

  • She's approximately 9...she's 4" and getting quite the bald spot.  She hasn't molted in over two years so she's due soon. She doesn't burrow at all, she just hangs out in the hide I've placed in her habitat.

  • She's just beautiful and PLUMP. How old is she?

  • ive got a smaller one in a exo terra she loves digging tunnles but it keeps on falling on her when in the tunnle
