cher can sing, there's no questioning that. personally, i do love the rapping and stuff - it's great that it comes to naturally to her! however, i do think that, if she won, she'd produce crap music. also, the performance of this song is awful and i actually cringed. yeah, she's got talent, but this video made me cringe because it's that bad

Ps. Why did the judges decide about keeping people in? I could've sworn Simon said previously that the '...voting was back in the hands of the public..." and that the public were the ones voting. I voted for Rebecca to win.

I have to say I'm not her biggest fan, but I just don't like her style it's nothing personal against her and I'm sure she's a lovely girl. Although saying that when she sang Stay With Me she was absolutely awesome.

I think the judges and producers have turned XFactor into a joke, to be honest.
Yeah , Cher is talented and different , but beyond that , she is one of those singers who you either love or hate. How's that going to sell records when probably 50% of the public don't really like her? Cheryl just likes her because it's her "mini-me" ... Behind all the makeup and money, everyone knows Cher & Cheryl are chavs.

She just wails her voice throughout the whole song, it's like hearing feedback creep in sometimes. And the show is a fix anway, it was so obvious that Cher would sing last, and that Simon and the producers would change the system last minute. If the public had their say, Cher would of gone home !!! And fuck anyone who challenges me saying "she's brilliant, she's young, she's different so fuck you" go jump off a fuckin bridge.. the UK already has a Cheryl Cole, we dont want a another one !!!!

Although Mary sung her song brilliantly, technically and also better, I like the haunting emotion of the way Cher sung this song. I imagine with the backdrop of a haunting video that would have been really scary. I can't take away Cher's stage presence although I do want Rebecca to win. I do think that it was unfair however to vote outrightly for Cher when they really should have put it to deadlock and let the public decide.

@Smileasaurus Wow, I finally found a video where there are Cher supporters! I just recently stumbled across her videos here in the US and I fell in love! She's different, sexy, has a good voice, and seems to have a lovely attitude. I don't understand the all the criticisms! How many contestants can put their own twist to all the songs they perform? This is an emotional and heart felt performance!

This girl is a star... she will be HUGE!!!!! so she's chavy, cocky and a bit arrogant... she is only 17 still a teenager for god sake we were all like that at her age. She is a raw talent who knows what she wants. Good luck to her :)

Mary has a great voice and everyone thinks she's very good. Cher hasn't the same voice but everytime she performs she communicates her emotions through her personality. Both are already stars but I think that Cher deserves to be in the final. Maybe she won't win but she deserves the spot. It's a bit like Susan Boyle...she didn't win but she's an international star.
