  • lol the last melody was yankee doodle.

  • Wonderful series of videos. Thank you. Watched the first 5 in a row and can't wait to finish the rest. This was very gracious of you to put together.

  • Thanks a lot for these lessons that illustrate the thought process involved in counterpoint writing and demystify the art. Do you intend to expand on the 1st set of 14 lessons ?

One question : I read about only 2 forms of nota cambiata, one starting from the octave and one starting from the 6th. Is the one you used (starting from 3rd/10th) widely accepted, or you took some degree of liberty ? It seems important to state when rules are being bent. Thank you.

  • Thanks you for this.

  • This is hugely helpful for all of us untrained, bedroom guitarists. Thank's very much!

  • Thank you.

  • first : great work ...go on please and don t stop

second : i think that in the first counterpoint .....f g a b .....is not a desirable melody for the masters of this art (tritone) .....

finally : i am happy for this videos so much :):)

  • @SAMIOART first: thank you very much!

second: following the scale from f to c (with b on a weak beat) is allowed also in strict scholastic counterpoint. Or at least Palestrina always does that.

  • thanks man cheers from mexico

  • Thanks a lot for this.
