  • cant find anything that comes anywhere near this.. Anywhere Perfect :)

  • Still Perfect

  • Jusst one word... PERFECT

  • Beautiful! It's the best "Vergine" I heard on YouTube. Thank you from Holland!

  • The choir is ethereal and Miss Evans unbelievable. No one has ever done this piece more beautifully. Callas, Tebaldi and others all must take a seat way behind Evans. Her skills are incredible and her voice magical. Wow!

  • @waspman1633 "miss evens" is my friends mum lol!!!!

  • Not only Rebecca is great but also the choir is fantastic. The conductor is WONDERFUL!

  • I have had the good fortune to attend recitals & a performance of La boheme by Rebecca Evans. She is an artist who communicates immediatly with her audience with her lovely voice & engaging personality. One would think that in THE LAND OF SONG (Wales) this Welsh soprano would be universally known. Unfortunately much of the Welsh population are ignorant of this national treasure & are content to be so.

  • I think that Verdi would have been very proud and moved to have his music so beautifully performed " diction " and all by the sensitive warm passionate chorus and Rebecca Evans who Ive never heard of, but will from now on listen to with great interest.

  • It is incredible what a well trained voice can achieve. Rebecca should be far better known to the music world.

  • Once I was able to get pass the chorus' italian diction, this was a treat. Beautiful!

  • Superbe fille et superbe chanteuse. ET SUPERBE VERDI!

  • The wonderful Welsh voices, oh celtic, as great as their rugby.

  • incantevole!

  • who is rebecca evans. she is absolutely perfect

  • VOCE MERAVIGLIOSA...

  • good singing.and she is so pretty

  • Rebecca Evans sings wonderful =)

  • The Choir is The Morriston Orpheus conducted by Dr Alwyn Humphreys

  • I am guessing the chorus is the famous Mens' chorus of Wales...they sound glorious, the diction is a mess, but who cares. I love Rebecca Evan's voice here. Why do we not hear more of her in America?

  • brava! perfetto!

per favore, what is the story behind this piece? i mean... where does it come in the opera and why?

  • it is from Verdi´s "La forza del destino" and it is the scene (after a beautiful duet basso/soprano) where the heroine is granted asylum by the prior in a male convent (wearing male disguise). She is a repentent fugitive, because her lover (of lowly descent) killed her father, and her brother is pursuing her, seeking revenge.

Despite the somewhat absurd plot, a very beautiful opera. Listen to it!

  • Beautifull voice!And allso nice film.Well done!

  • Really lovely.
