Eddie would have said "the surf sucked that day, what's wrong with you guys?". He also would have said his grandma has gotten rides twice as long out there back in the day when it peeled down the line, now all crumbly and disorganized. He also would have said the hoales jinxed it on top of ridiculous crowds of amateurs lowering the standard of surfing like a lead sinker
