  • Those are some nice cameras for - what is this, 1995? You can see the sweat dripping off Barkley.

  • Too watch the Real Sabonis Type: 1986 Arvydas Sabonis. That was BEFORE he Broke BOTH KNEE LIGAMENTS ON BOTH LEGS. Top 5 Center of All TIme with Wilt, Kareem, Shaq and Hakeem

  • Back when Real Madrid's team pissed everytime on my favourite team, Barcelona. That Real Madrid squad with Sabonis was really really good. I mean, I suffered a lot watching him play, but at the same time i was like "How the fuck does he do that?!?!?!?!". And the commentators (I'm Spanish) are saying something like: "We can see Barkley doesn't like watching this result, he's probably not having the best time, and that chance to..." And the video ends.

  • press 5 for HEADSHOT !!!

  • BALLED THE HEAD!

  • rocky balboas theme in the background !

  • You all guys are funny trying to prove your points about sabonis being superior or mediocre or even bad player... who cares now? He did his big contribution in Blazers and that's all what counts. Shaq and Sabonis are different players they can't be compared because it was different situation in terms of age, background, health and so on, anyway...

  • @daddygoliat231 Barcelona lost by 40 points in this game and Sabonis didnt do shit it in it. This was his only real highlight . STFU fan boy and get lost for good

  • @Gyro911 Calm down mate. Truth is that Sabonis really was mediocre center in NBA. But he had reasons. At one point there was a question if he'd still walk, not even talking about playing basketball. But he managed to recover and after that went to NBA. He was so not in his prime, I'd say he was 1/5 himself for the best after that injury. Yet he still managed to be main Blazers center and really wasn't very bad. You didn't see him play before injuries, so you're just being ignorant here.

  • @pokeriotevas You're talking about potential which is a dumb argument since i can make the case for 100's of other basketball players that should have lived up to theirs. Ive seen him play in his prime in 1988 and he could have been a 20 a game scorer in the NBA but durability is part of being great and he never had that. Get over him and yourself already.

  • This guy just got elected into the NBA hall of fame? His NBA career wasn't great or even close. Another clear case of the NBA watering down their shrine in favor of promoting an image of multi-culturalism. What a joke. A women's college coach made it in with him.

  • @86celtics Back when you were rooting for the 86 celtics, the best center in the world was dominating Europe and not allowed to come to the NBA because of the Iron Curtain (political stuff)

  • @86celtics Uh... It's called the NAISMITH HOF... Sabonis IS the most dominant Euro player EVER... why wouldn't he be in the HOF?

If Chris Mullin made it, then Sabonis sure as hell deserved it too.

  • @Trinidadian125 Being the most dominant player in a vastly inferior league doesn't warrant enshrinement in the HOF with the best of the best. "why wouldn't he be in the HOF?" Well how about 12ppg, 7.3 rpg, and 1 bpg. The rebounding/block stats are especially poor for a 7'3 center. These were his numbers while playing with the best in world. It isn't hard to see why he wasn't even a full time starter. And though Chris Mullin wasn't the greatest ever, his career (against the best) was far better.

  • @86celtics 1) He came to the US after several back/knee surgeries. He wasn't half the player he was while playing in Europe. Plus, he was like 31 when he started playing for Portland as a rookie.

    2) His EURO numbers are HOF worthy. Check them out. He won three championships while in Europe playing against the best that continent had to offer.

  • @86celtics

It's the BASKETBALL Hall of Fame, not the NBA Hall of Fame. The fact that he couldn't play in the NBA because of political reasons shouldn't diminish a fantastic career in international basketball.

  • sabonis is like 220 cm tall so it isnt impressive at all.

  • he's a legend. i saw him in cemetery with he's mom and dad xD but i can't get it. why he is so tall? because hes mom and dad isnt very tall. :P

  • Commentator is Spanish. He says: "Sabonis machaca" wich means "Sabonis dunks" as in Sabonis smashes de ball through the hoop.

  • buvo kaskada :/ dabar motejunas auga :)

  • @oimama12 Valanciunas taip pat auga ;)

  • I remember this game Madrid lost by 40 points and Oliver Miller who was only 6'7 contained sabonis. He was really a small factor, even Barkly blew right by Him

  • @Gyro911 you obvi don't know much about basketball. Sabonis dominated seven footer David Robinson in the olympics bad.... and Sabonis was just inducted into the basketball hall of fame class of 2011 whereas oliver miller is a fat pile who sucks. therefore your analysis sucks. In fact Shaq in his prime even had difficulties with Sabonis compared to other centers from 1999 to 2001

  • @treyslap So your trying to rewrite history by saying Sabonis was a none factor in this game and that Madrid lost by 40 here? also you tube the amount of times Shaq gave Arvidas facial dunks that had Sabonis shaking his head. Shaq bulldozed over him everytime they played especially in the semi finals vs portland in 2000 shooting around 60%. As far as Robinson, he was in college at the time and still managed to beat the Soviet team with Sabonis in 86 then embarrassed him in the 92 olympics.

  • @Gyro911 1) He was shaking his head because he spent his whole career getting calls as the MVP of Europe and now Shaq was allowed to throw an elbow into his old ass face every play. 2) This is basketball not a porno, hence number of facials doesn't determine how good you are. 3) You can't use the age card both ways. 4) David Robinson didnt embarrass him in the 92 olympics, he had the freaking DREAM TEAM with him. 5) Thank God the Hall of Fame agrees with me.....

  • @treyslap Whats up with this hard on you have for Sabonis, he was barley above mediocre in the NBA and got out muscled by Shaq, those are the facts. Only reason he's getting into the hall of fame is because of his lithuanian background and history with the soviet gold medal team. They elected female players into the hall of fame to and speaking of which Sabonis's style was very finess. he blew out his knee because he played like a 7'3 whimp running around the perimeter then being on the inside

  • @Gyro911 1) it is not a fact that he was barely above mediocre 2) Shaq outmuscled EVERYBODY, 3) Its not the NBA hall of fame, its the basketball hall of fame. Only counting Sabonis's NBA career would be like only judging Shaq based off his Phoenix/Cavs/Boston years. 4) The girls in the hall of fame reference is completely irrelevent and Cherly Miller would mop the floor with you. 5) why do you hate on him so hard? ? Did he have unconsentual sex with your mother on a roadtrip?

  • @treyslap Your dumber then a pile of shit, your basing his career on a brief 3 year period of playing against weak european competition and american collegiate players. He couldn't hack it in the NBA when given an opportunity to be a star. I dont hate on him, just you for making him out to more then what he was.

  • @treyslap Sorry but Shaq's advanced age lessened his abilities, he didnt pussy out to injuries like Sabonis did. Bad Analogy, quit talking.

  • @Gyro911

Well u probably dont know what kind of problems Sabonis had with his legs. If Shaq would be in Sabonis place he probably wouldnt play basketball after those injury at all

  • @Gyro911 I'm sorry but Shaq sucks if you compare him and Sabonis when they were both young. You're either too young to see Sabonis play in the late 1980s or you just know nothing about basketball. As for Shaq not pussying out from injuries. Sabonis got injured BECAUSE he had to constantly play for the USSR and got no rest which is why his health deteriorated like it did. If Shaq played as much as sabonis did, he'd be in a wheelchair now.

  • @cresc STFU Sabonis was a mediocre center throughout the NBA career. Case closed look at the stats if you can read

  • @Gyro911 everyone KNOWS sabonis was a mediocre center during his time with the NBA. But everyone EXCEPT YOU knows that Sabonis was one of the best centers around during his time BEFORE the nba and BEFORE he got hurt. You are NOT a better judge of talent than Clyde Drexler, Scottie Pippen and Naismith HoF judges. Case closed.

  • @cresc Everybody but you doesnt know that he played against below average competition before he got to the NBA so how would that make him great. The fact that he wasnt durable enough to stay healthy against shit competition further proves how overrated he is in europe. He was a great european center there which is like saying he sucks and couldnt hack it in the NBA

  • @Gyro911

He played Shaq better than almost anyone in the L being a washed up 30+ yo unathletic white guy with fucked up knees.. look at Shaq now, when his mobility is gone. Sabonis in his NBA days was way past his prime and so much better than what Shaq was/is now that he isn't as mobile.

Prime Sabonis over Shaq in terms of all-around play any day.

  • Vat tie rusai sugadino saboni.

  • what is MAKAKa

  • 0.15 head shot ^^

  • Sabonis was great player but he never can be compare for example Wilt Chamberlain, for me Wilt was the best center of all the Basketball history, but Sabonis is in the top ten

  • Musu Saboniukas LTU

  • Mark West loves rotters

  • It is impressive because Mark West was a bad ass shot blocker. This is the first time I have ever seen him get dunked on! He was a really tough mofo.

  • @whackamolechamp It actually wasnt to impressive considering Sabonis is 7'3 and West is 6'9 which is a 6" advantage and that West was looking away until the last moment

  • ROKIS ROKIS

  • SaBAS JEGA!
