  • How much are we talking straight out of the factory?

  • Picking mine up tomorrow. I probably wouldn't buy it If it wasn't so hard to get.

  • Nice try nutnfancy but you still DONT suck. You're awesome. Me and my buddies up in Canada love the videos!

  • but that sight takes away the folding feature...

  • @JustMassive7 as he states at 13 mins

  • @alastairwparker I skipped through... it's a long video.

  • been looking for this and a ksg for ages...they are nowhere to be found. Fables and legends only seen on youtube vids..none are to be had in the flesh..

  • I want this gun!!!!!!!! It,s a shame no one has it and back ordered to the max. Maybe Kel-Tec could expand the manufacturing capability?

  • Anybody know where to get the .40cal in Canada?

  • @GangsterHutterite

    have you checked wolverine supplies?

  • I love the Kel-Tec philosophy. But when it comes down to the $....it wouldnt matter if a Sub 2000, KSG, RFB were all offered in a bundle package for only "This one time blow out price of $1.00........If they aren't on shelves, where are they going? Covert gov opps? Private overseas contractors? All I can say is, Kel-Tec has been around long enough to be a common name on the shelf at ya local gun supplier. I aint a conspiracy theorist, but it dont look right . Sell to the PEOPLE OF THE U.S. FIRST

  • the only thing i find wrong with all these type of guns is, you never seem to be looking down the barrel then u wuncer why they arnt accurate

theres always about a inch of sight .sticking above the barrel

  • I love the great loud audio in all your reviews... Really helps because I watch your clips on my phone in bed when I wind down...

  • Just a friendly note:

Please pass on to the Kel-Tec folks that I've decided to purchase A sub 2000 based solely on this review by NutnFancy.

Thanks for a clear and impressive review.

  • NUTFANCY, you're totally right. I can't find a Sub2k anywhere in Glock17. What's up with KelTec? do they have a marketing dept? I'm a veteran and it's easier to get russian and chinese guns than it is to get an American gun.

KELTEC, If your listening produce more. People will buy them. I'm actually looking for two. One for me and another for my boy.

    C'MON MAN!!!!!!!!

  • Does any one know when these are going on the market again? I want one in 9mm Glock 17.

  • Would 9mm +P+ ammo work well in the Sub 2000?

  • This is my favorite gun i own

  • Excellent review Sir

  • @sirtom68 thanks for the advice, I will keep up the round count and see what happens.

  • I wish Kel Tec would make a sub2k in .45 ACP.

  • You talk TOO much!

  • @BartWilliston then go watch FPSRussia

  • Shot this gun for the first time this weekend. Just started shooting, been to the range 5 times, and I got a 2.5 inch group standing up at 25 yrds with iron sights. Cheek down on that stock isn't the most comfortable thing in the world though. Overall, I loved the gun

  • Just bought my Sub 2k 9mm Glock for $390.00 yesterday!

  • Been looking for a glock sub 2k in both 9 and 40 on the net and gun shows with no luck... well I did go to Houston gun show at reliant and a private seller wanted $850 for it. I want it very bad but not that bad.. lol

  • @Richard8209

I got one in Shreveport LA, im trying to get rid of

  • @Dougr320

I would be interested in purchasing the sub 2000 if it is the 9mm version

  • @mossmonster1 The Sub-2000 comes in 9mm parabellum!!

  • I just bought one of these and have had some problems with it fully ejecting the shell, it seems to close too soon and trap the shell casing in the action. I posted a video where it happened to me a few times. Just curious if you had any experiences with this or ideas to try before I send it back to Kel Tec if it soesn't start acting right.

Awesome videos btw. Thanks for your service HUAH!

  • @ThePoppaPossum Probably just need to shoot it a little more. These weapons need a "break in period" dont use light bullets ,115 for instance, they are just to hot for a new machined action. Go with something a little heaver and run at least 150 to 200 rounds through it. I guarantee that after you break her in like that she will run like a Singer Sewing Machine;)

  • just wondering do you reload? or make your own bullets? or does youtube and sponsors chip in on ammo costs?

  • What's with the plates hanging underneath the human-shaped metal targets?

    Are they for misplaced nut-shots?

  • @Nix6p a shot to the thigh will bring most attackers to their knees

  • for all of you that say this carbine is weak because it is chambered in 9mm, it's not. The 16 inch barrel adds so much velocity and force of impact, field tests show that at 50 yards the 9mm sub 2k has the power of a .357 magnum point blank, surprising i know, so this is a great home defense weapon.

  • I just sent my G19 version Sub2000 back to Keltec for a second time due to massive failure to ejects. 2-3 malfunctions per 10 round mag after returned. Doesn't matter what type of ammunition or magazine. Keltec replaced most of the internals but I think it is just cycling too fast and no I'm not limp wristing it. It's also properly lubed and cleaned before testing. I've shot 1000 rounds through it the 3 days I've owned it. I'm calling Keltec personally this time and requesting a replacement.

  • @ImJacksAmygdala definitely need a replacement, that is a bad one, problems before sending back once is understandable, but twice, something is definitely wrong

  • Please reply so the ones i see for like 200 are a complete weapon, meaning just put ammo in it and it goes, and the glock ones take all glock variant mags like say the 33 round or what not?

  • This is my next firearm. Can't believe the low price!!! Well, maybe I can. Probably just because I'm so excited that it's low cost and that I can easily afford it.

  • @crailberry

    How much does it cost?

  • @bcta302 between 250 and 450 depending on were you go.

  • @bcta302 ya what hugh302 said. Anywhere from 250 to 450. More likely in the 350 range.

  • Anyone know if this counts as a pistol or a rifle? I wanna buy one but I'm only 20. Thanks and stay safe!

  • @headstrong440 Carbines are considered "long guns" so you can be under 21 to buy one.

  • @headstrong440 It is considered a rifle, so no need for stupid pistol laws. (21 years old to buy in most states, five day waiting period.. bla bla blimey bla...) Had found one at my local store about five months back. Bought it for 334 USD after (stupid) taxes.

I know how it feels bein only 20 in the gun community and wanting a sig ten years ago. XD

Anyway, Hope this helps eh. Cheers.

  • @Trigunnie45 that helps a ton! thank you so much bud I appreciate it!

  • @headstrong440 Not a problem mate. =]

  • Has anyone had any ejection problems with their sub2k?

  • Hey how did you guys get the heat shields changed out or did you purdchase the weapon like this.

  • I own one .40cal s&w. S2k I love it.

  • I got the S2K towards the first part of the year and put a Red Lion for end on it, the red lion allows you mount optics and still totally fold the gun, and a bushnel trophy red dot on it and shoot hogs all day long with this bad boy.

  • For a laugh. I went to a local gunshop that is known for having a really huge selection to look at a Mosin. I had been there the week before thanksgiving, and was looking for a Sub-2k or HiPoint 995. They had neither. (They tried to sell me on a JR Carbine 9mm for 2x the price of either the 995 or sub-2k - NO THANKS) They told me that they had not seen a sub-2k in the shop in nearly 2 years. DISAPPOINTED. I bought a HiPoint 4095 since I couldnt find the 995 while I was in E. TN.

  • When I walked into the same store friday, THEY HAD 2-SUB-2ks! A 9mm(glock) and .40cal(glock). OMG. Needless to say the 9mm went on layaway. Carbine RICH in TN!!!

  • i want one!!

  • That was my favorite gun of ALL TIME I wish I never sold it.

  • Just bought mine today.. 315$ including shipping. Bought on auction arms..can't wait!

  • I'm thinking of getting this since it would be really easy to pack away for a back packing trip into the mountains, but my only problem is getting optics on it and how much that will cost and also if i can get my Bushnell tr 25 on it to.

  • one point ,...respectfully , ...i wish you would keep a round count shot , for us...on your reviews

  • who has these in stock? i tried all the usual places and no one has them and does not know when more will come in. I want the 9mm sig version.

  • how about for leftys I see at about 8:45 the dude went lefty and it looks like he got hit with a hot casing would you buy this gun if you shot left? thanks

  • @TacticalRodeo

Best to ask your local Gun dealer or Police department for that answer. A reliable answer at that.

  • Hey nutn/other TNPers, I have a question. Would a pistol caliber carbine be considered a pistol in the sense that in Washington state you must be 21 to buy a pistol?

  • @TacticalRodeo I just bought one tonight. It was classified as a rifle. Sure it folds and yes it does fire traditional "pistol" rounds, but it is not a pistol any more than a Marlin camp 9 or a Highpoint carbine.

Obviously, I don't know the rules in your state...but WA is probably not near as bad as Kalifornia. I think CA has a problem with this Keltec...which makes me love mine even more.

A little hard to find IMO, but worth the effort.

  • Were you guys being chased in the beginning?

  • why the fuck is dude so out of breath in the beginning?? haha

  • @TheHollowPointKid They just ran some TNP drills. Lots of running and gunning.

  • Thanks for the great review ! I am now looking for one of my own but going to go with the .40 S&W in either the Glock 22 or Beretta 96. Which speaking of .40 S&W --- I haven't seen anywhere of why you are so in love with the 9 mm Luger round ! I have always felt the .40 is a better performing round for take down and recoil (target reaquisition) ! Just my two cents !

  • Nice review. Everything I want to know! Thanx!!!!

  • I love your videos...I seen a few videos with this gun and for some reason i figured you had a review on it sure enough you do! I liked your page on facebook and noticed you like Wiz Khalifa, that's funny because he wears the clothing line I'm apart of..If you ever have a chance check us out EVOL1 Clothing. Stands for End Violence. One Love. It's also 1LOVE backwards. Sorry to throw that in there. Thanks again for your videos and please keep them coming!

  • Nutn, thanks for posting this review. I have wondered for the longest time why more preparedness people don't understand this concept. When you are packing all your gear out having a weapons SYSTEM - meaning multiple weapons - that all take the same round and even the same magazine is a huge weight and space saver. This little gun is going on my list. With an additional Glock (I already have one), plenty of extra max capacity mags, and a shotgun my wife and I will be set for defense.

  • ooooooooooooh it feels sooooooooooo good! kinda reminds ya of something else

  • What took so long for me to find this channel?! I'll def be on the hunt for one of these S2000's! Does anyone know the name/brand of the red dot shown in parts of this video? The one with the big view point?

  • the marlin camp carbine also houses the mag in the pistolgrip

  • @Ag47silversurfer

Look it up... Google is very easy to use.

  • does the sub2000 take all 9mm glcok, s&w, sig, and berretta mags? or do you have to buy a different sub2000 version as in glock version and etc? Someone said the sub2000 is compatible with all of those mags... I am a little confused cause i hear people talking abt the glock version sub2000 and etc... ive been really wanting one for a while~

  • @Ag47SilverSurfer different version for each mag, just chech their website

  • @Ag47SilverSurfer The sub 2000 Has different grips to go with different typesof mags from different gun brands. They switch out like normal grips, a few screws to remove and youre ready to change!!

  • @Twiggy2u..just fired my new sub 2000(beretta 9mm) this weekend and it was great. No recoil and the bolt close to the cheek was no issue.Hold it firm to your shoulder and you won't feel a thing.Good luck.

  • Has the bolt sliding so close to your cheek ever been an issue for NUTN??? Has it ever pinched anyone on TNP?

  • whats the tony stark chest thing in the beginning.

  • Sold. I've been putting some cash aside for a new firearm, thinking along the lines of a 1911, but I'm going to shortstop that process in favor of a Sub 2K. I'll get to the 1911 before long. Thanks for the review!

  • Please review the Kel Tec PMR 30 and the Rhino 200ds.... or put them them on your list to look at, love love love your videos... DBuzzardlips

  • that camera man needs to get in shape!

  • Excellent review. I have a Sub 2K, SU 16C, and an RFB. I have a great deal of confidence in the quality and innovation of Kel Tec despite the reservations of some of my peers. I will share this with them.

  • This is my first gun. Does your rail system get lose after a few dozen rounds? If not, how did you secure it? I used a lot of Locktite Blue, but it still wobbles.

  • Sold one of these in .40 S&W. Sweet shooter. Still looking for one in Glock 17 configuration.

  • I have had my Sub2k for about a year and a half now with Zero hiccups or malfunctions. Go take a look at one . The price is right and if it is available, buy it. You will not regret it. The quad rail is not a must but does add to the cool factor.

  • This video convinced me

  • It's probably been said before but for the tube cover it's tacticoolproducts not tacticalcool. took me a minute to find it. thanks for the great review nutn

  • just got mine in a 9mm glock, they are a little hard to find, cant wait to put several k rounds through it.

  • love to see Nutin FINALLY jump on the sub2000 wagon. I have over 3,000 plus rounds through mine with 2 fte's (during break in) I'd rock mine in Fallujah anyday and depend on it. I have a lonewolf/spikes ar and nutin right! You can touch the subby for the price. I have far more issuses with my ar15 9mm plus its 3 pounds heavier. nice review and welcome to the world of the sub2000 FINALLY.

  • As usual great review on an AWESOME carbine, I had an all blue one for about a year (Glock 17 version) then for some stupid impulse reason I sold it, then instantly regret it I waited a whole year to get a stainless Glock 17 version which I currently own and will never sell!!

  • Picked one up in 40 s&w after watching this. Couldn't be happier! What a great little bug out rifle! Thanks for doing what you do Nutn!

  • @mulletmaffia84 Way to be douchebag.

  • @mulletmaffia84 Go back to blown'n up your xbox, such eloquent use of the english language, breath before you type a comment as it might help get some oxygen to your brain...

  • Thinks for the video got one in .40cal right after i saw your video its awesome. Over 200 rounds later and i am in love with it.Cant wait to shot it some more

  • i actually did go "ooh check it out, look how awesome that gun is" like no joke

  • Super good review on a great carbine. I have had one for about 10 years or more.

  • I have one of these in 40 cal Glock mags. Glock makes 22 round 40S&W mag that works with it. Took a deer with it last season. Really is a nice little rifle.

  • just a great review Now Iv got to get one and yea a gun you dont see that much out here or in shops it is hard to get hands on. As a gunsmith Im tolled their manuf shop is not reaIIy that big and they just dont have the out put they dident think it would have such a big calling,As you know most guys bad mouth pistol caliber sub guns. And I agree with you on the little longer barrel and threading.I hear as you do why it prints all over the place I wish guys would learn guns are like people Diff.

  • Another great tabletop!

  • How come all the groups at same distance with same ammo all have different point of impact?

  • I'd like to know how people can use the plastic sights on these? I couldn't get my eye low enough with my friends, his also used SIG mags and the rig was jamming up a ton.

  • Who has them in stock?

  • @MrLookitisbr22 only place i could find was gunbroker.

  • As with most fans of TnP, I use Nutn's reviews to determine a lot of my purchases... He's almost always right on the money... I have been waiting a LONG time for the review of this interesting little weapon... Now that I have had the opportunity to catch your data points on this gun (and my first and second handgun purchases... influenced by Nutn) I am hoping very emphatically to see a review of Ruger's SR1911... WHEN NUTN?!?!?!?!

  • Great work Nutn. Thanks to everyone who puts effort into filming and producing these vids. Was a great watch!

  • I own the carbine in the Glock 9mm ver., Love it. Fun to shoot, decently accurate at 100 yrds on "iron sights", I shot the steel cased (maybe it's the aluminum) Russian ammo (33 rounds) without issue. I was surprised there was as much recoil as there was to the weapon. Great Stuff, I was wondering if you were every gonna do a review on this weapon & as always, YOU CAME THRU!!! Thanks!

  • I think a lot of people are failing to realize how much damage a pistol carbine does. It does damage like a 308 or better. A rifle cut down is not ideal for urban fighting. Dont confuse govt. cost savings with performance.

  • @Warpath2198 A pistol caliber carbine doesn't nearly have the stopping power of a .308. While it will cause similar damage with an expanding round, it won't cause similar damage if you use ball ammunition for both. In Iraq or Afghanistan, every 7.62 I've put in someone is a kill, and I've seen it nearly cut a man in half. I've also seen a guy dump 4 rounds of 9mm in an insurgent's chest and not go down.

  • @SSgt24thMEU Yeah in a military sense using ball ammo, which is not much better than practice ammo your right. Luckily law enforcement and civilians have access to premium ammo, and something like a 147 grain 9mm hollow point will kill the shit out of someone, especially in a carbine with a 16" barrel.

  • @Warpath2198 I use 147gr Hydra-Shok Federal Premium JHP (9mm) on small animals, and the damage isn't what you think. It's powerful, but not on a .308 level. Sierra MatchKings are a favorite for .308.

  • I wish I could find one in S&W configuration, all I ever see are Glocks.

    Great review!

  • Thank you for this review. I'm a 67 YO novice shooter without a lot of money for home defense. I'm a retired Navy vet, but until recently (for obvious reasons) I've had little cause to buy a home defense weapon. I now have a Ruger SR-9 and love the idea of using my 9mm ammo in a small home defense carbine. Thanks again my friend. You're the greatest.

  • @nutnfancy

I think its interesting that the manual says it does not like aluminum cased ammo. I have shot 100 rounds of Tula through my s2k in .40 and it liked it more than the Winchester "white box" target rounds.

  • What is the orange piece on the iron sight for?

  • Wow - excellent shooting!

  • just love all your videos nut! congrats from Brasil ;D

i was seeing your videos about tactical plates, do you know where i can get more info about them? thx

  • tactical nuke incomeing lol good shooting

  • OMG! The places you shoot look so amazing! Especially the clip around 11:50 with the (sun?)flowers.

Hey Nutnfancy you should check Calico out again. I saw a weird looking thing called the "Liberty" and it was in production. I think they're back in production.

  • Comment removed

  • I totally get the idea of ARs, but was thinking of pcs for a long time, it's just so much easier to carry 9mm ammo, it's plenty potent..if 357 can be considered lethal enough, the p+ definitely matches is out of those barrels, and like you said, it's just fun.

Could you review those Glock pistol into pc conversion kits...glocks are super accurate, and this ist a pc platform for your glock!! please see if it's worth the trouble.

thanks for the fantastic work you do, Matt from Poland

  • @nutnfancy CX4! Cx4! Heck, while we're at it can you bring out a PX4 pistol and the ARX-160? Oh, and that .40 cal 96A1 from the SHOT show? and Ben from Beretta? An epic Beretta series awaits!

  • Now that was a very incredible and thorough review. I have to say that I am still taking it all in. Way to go! Kel-Tec should post this review on their site along with the R&G you did. Awesome work, really enjoyed it.

  • Cool gun just so hard to find though the dude at one of our local gun shops said the company is so small that they can bearly keep up with the pistols. And forget about the SU 16 B, C,CA

  • Great review Nutn! SO many different options out there now and SO many things for me to make decisions on for my next purchase..grrrrrrrr...

Thanks for making it more difficult for me. :D

  • For funn, whats not to love about a rifle that can take handgun mags and ammo? As a "Just for funn" weapon it's awsome. And i bet a badguy would be just as scared of this as a AR15.And with this combo you only carry one kind of mags. So you can't miss by putting a rifle mag in the pistol or the reverse. I love it!

  • @ZeaMoore4 Ohh, and: Go Kel-tec Chad! Bring'm back if you can! All smiles.

  • THUMBS UP!

  • I would say, an carabine pistol conversion would be also a good way to go. Maybe not in the barrel lengh, but... Couple of mi frends bouchgt an RONI conversion to ther Glock pistols. Its light, quick attachable, compact, its enought place to any acessories red dot, holosights or optics... POV is ok, you have your dependable sidearm that you can with small effort change to a carabine - to shoot acurately on longer distances, with better optics and comfort.

  • I dont know where you get ammo nutn, by me Al cased ammo is like 1 or 2 % cheaper than brass.

  • Your right you can never find a KelTec.

  • I hate you! I have been thinking about a pistol caliber carbine, so after watching this review I had to buy a SUB-2K, and a Red Lion rail system, and the Tacticool buffer tube cover, and charging handle cover, and a Vortex StrikeFire, and... It will match up nicely with my G34 & G26 (same ammo and mags) in case the Zombies attack or the power goes out for 3 days. Keep up the good work, but don't review anything I thinking about. I can't afford anymore firearms at the moment.

  • I have basically given up on getting a SU16C!

  • What about the Vector KRISS?

  • Great video as always. I went down to the gun shop and saw it there the day of or after watching this. They seem like two different guns. I was turned off by the plastic which makes it look like it was made by Hasbro. That concerns me because I don't know if small children can differentiate the two. However, I'll end up getting one someday because the competitors can't touch the price. Again, thanks for the vid Nutn and thanks to your family who puts up with you for making all these for us. :)

  • Great review dude... another home run review.

If you posted a vid of you and crocket doing the trench.. I'd watch it.. just saying. >_o

Thank you for all your hard work.

  • my gosh that is a beautiful scene where you're shooting the sub2k gray clouds in the sky the wild flowers everywhere and of course a firearm right in the middle!

  • why didnt you check the chamber once nutnfancy

  • Where the heck is Chad? Damn, he's not on the video, lol.

  • I cant find a sub 2000 anywhere!!!! Everywhere that used to sell it is out of stock ALL THE TIME!!!! Where did you get yours? Ive always wanted one of them but never got it.

  • i also had a chunk cut out of mine on the side of the ejection area with pmc 9mm ammo i had many failures and damage i went to federal wal mart ammo and its hasn't jammed once and more accurate my from sight is broken and it was still hitting at 75 yards im loving this gun i duck taped my front sight and we are all good till i call kel tec!!!

  • Just got my Sub2K today - and this vid is making me feel even better about my purchase. Can't wait to get out and put some rounds downrange!

Have your KT Quad rails held tight so far? No issues?

  • I have had one for 5 years now, and it has been my go to SHTF rifle up until I bought my AR. Its a fun gun, and it is 100% reliable if you maintain it properly, meaning that bolt assembly and tub need to be well lubed. A mop head from a 12 gauge cleaning rod make a perfect cleaning tool for the sub2K tube. Also thanks for getting rid of the Fallujah Ready title. It was embarrassing, made me vomit in my mouth a bit.I like your stuff and ideas but occasionally you get a little too mall ninjaish.

  • @starshipfantastica Agree, the fallujah test remark, was a bit bloodthirsty

  • Nutn'.. You freaking rock man. Thanks for all your hard work

  • Hey Nutn, Thanks for making more great "Gun TV"! Very well done!

  • Its screaming for a foregrip and railcovers!! I actually took the ugly cheap front sight off and just added a flip up ar sight. works great I also threaded the barrel and put a flash hider, then changed the trigger out with a aztec Aluminum trigger. still folds.

  • heck I'm still looking locally for a su 16-c. I try to support my local gun shops but good grief.

  • My local gun dealer has a sub2000 glock 9mm priced at $150.00 OVER msrp!! He knows there are hard to get so he prices them very high.

  • I think the value of the Kel-Tec Sub 2K to me is for home defense. It is more capable than a handgun, it should hit like a .357 and you can have 33 rounds. One thing people often don't think about is that if you are in a shooting the police will take your firearm into evidence. Do you really want to surrender a $1,000+ rifle with maybe a $400+ optic? This would be a great home defense gun with the Bushnell TRS-25 in a high mount and a Glock 33 round magazine. Only a $400 loss to police.

  • i was considering this for the few years but kinda thought it was not that great of a gun, just being completely ignorant honestly. I am needing to buy another gun and i think (if i can find one) i will get one in 2-3 weeks. great video and really made me want this gun.

  • Excellent review. Considering purchasing one of these rifles in the Glock magazine configuration. Thank you!

  • Soo glad you did this one. I've been looking for one of these in 40. Now that you've reviewed it I'm sure they'll be even more scarce! Great review as always

  • nice video

  • i have that extended buttstock.it rocks!not only does it work better, but it helps secure the weapon better when folded!

  • One thing I really like about the Sub 2K is that it reminds me of a modern take on the British Sten and Sterling submachine guns and to a lesser degree the US M3 "grease gun". Improvements on the old SMG designs I see are polymer construction for reduced weight, magazine being in the grip removing one of the largest downsides to both reliability ergonomics. And finally a folding ability. Sub 2K features a similar low cost of manufacturing and relative light weight and size as well as POU.

  • Please review the Just Right Carbine as I'm considering the 2000 but I'd like to get your (highly valued) opinion on the JR first.

  • yours is setup like mine!

  • The Sub-2000 is one of my avorite firearms! I have a .40S&W model set up for Glock 22 magazines that I love. I keep it, a Glock 23 & couple hundred rounds of ammo tucked into my B.O.B. at all times. As soon as I can I'll be getting a rail, and optic (with a QD mount) & a Viridian X5L light/laser for it to increase its usefulness.

A friend of mine has a similar combo in 9mm that he keeps in the back seat of his truck in a pink Hannah Montana backpack. NOBODY sees that backpack and thinks 'gun'!

  • Where did you get that cover for the bolt tube?
