If you just use D D U - U D U with the right timing it will sound great. You can also use the palm muting just as this guy did, to bring more dynamic sounds in the good parts. Try it out for yourself and feel it out.

The verses are just G, and C2

The pre-chorus are C2 and D

The chorus is C2, D, Em7 (twice), then C2 and D again

and the bridge is D, C2, D C2 D

Its pretty basic!

Oh and its capo 2. If you dont have a capo just play everything one whole step up!
