That's generally why those other groups try to hide these things, and also to avoid the legal trouble that's supposed to occur from doing such things, along with the negative publicity that goes with it. For some reason though, certain high ups in the federal government, and Californian state government have decided Scientology is above the law, and can do nearly whatever it wants. If this doesn't wreak of bribery, and corruption... I don't know what does!
In a way, it's a blessing because they shoot themselves in the foot, while at the same time shining the light on this issue for the whole world to see. Like that one women said, "it's called bull baiting, and they're very, very bad at it!" They're sloppy, in your face, but very aggressive. It kind of ruins many elements of the serious slandering aspect, setting up the target, or make them look crazy when you make it obvious that your group does this aggressively, as a group on a common basis.
Scientology on the other hand boldly, and openly persecutes, stalks, slanders, harasses their critics right in front of the media and has even done it to the media itself just as you see here right on camera, and they get away with it. Hardly ever getting charged for their offenses... even assault, especially in Trashalifornia.
The part that makes this most ridiculous and disturbing, is that unlike other groups and religions that have used some of these practices at times in the modern day & age, that do their best to hide these activities from the media, and the general public... Scientology does not.
The most sickening part, is that if you or me we're to go and do this stuff to people or stalk them like this... we'd be rightfully charged and put in jail. There is an heirarchy to the criminial justice system, and when local or city law enforcement are failing to do their jobs you can go to higher levels, and take civil and criminal action against not only the CO$, but against the local law enforcement agency for failing to do their jobs. It may be a hard row to hoe, but there is a system of checks and ballances for doing it.
I was in the church for nearly ten years. Some of what I got from Scientology was very valuable. BUT, there are other sources it can be had from and those sources don't attempt to dominate your life and run a perpetual bait and switch on you. It seems the church finally has an adversary they cannot silence by the usual means. It will be interesting to see how this struggle concludes.

Great video. I am a strong Christian, and I do believe that $cientology destroys families and, in this tough economy, gets people from in the clear to poor. There is an heirarchy to the criminial justice system, and when local or city law enforcement are failing to do their jobs you can go to higher levels, and take civil and criminal action against not only the CO$, but against the local law enforcement agency for failing to do their jobs. I was in the church for nearly ten years. Some of what I got from Scientology was very valuable. BUT, there are other sources it can be had from and those sources don't attempt to dominate your life and run a perpetual bait and switch on you. It seems the church finally has an adversary they cannot silence by the usual means. It will be interesting to see how this struggle concludes.

I once considered joining scientology. Hell, for that matter, I still do. The principles are sound and it's yet one more application of timeless principles known to improve quality of life. Meanwhile, Hubbard has used his knowledge to generate money, and removed all limits. Miscavige still does. If the Church doesn't qualifies for a shitlist, I don't know what does.
However, I'm looking towards the establishment of Freezone into the province I live in.
