This might be wrong, but I think Portal 2 and Half-Life 2:Episode 3 merge in some way.

@DualKong Well the first Portal had some relation to Half Life 2, since Black Mesa and Aperture both wanted to get portal technology first, but Black Mesa got it first (invasion of the Combine). GlaDOS never knew and just kept running the same tests over and over until finally someone killed her.

Maybe there will be references, but I doubt Episode 3 has much to do with Portal 2.

No it didn't, it came out years before the Orange Box. There were actually 2 versions, and the first one was sorta crappy. This one is a lot better. And JUST portal by itself is $20 and was out before the Orange Box. Orange Box was all those games put into a freaking good deal.
