They're both amazing artists, but Stuart Immonen really knocked it out of the park, Mark Bagley set up the look of the book, which he deserves all credit for, but Immonen really nailed it. Immonen's run is some of my favourite art from like the past 10 years, I'd put it above the "big names" like Frank Cho or Lennil Francis Yu any day.

Bagley definately is able to put personality into each character. rather than how immonen just puts generic boring faces into each person. Bagley can CREATE characters. immonen draws them

Immonen. For starters, he illustrated "Death of a Goblin," and anybody associated with the creation of that storyarc deserves cred. Secondly, while Bagley is undoubtedly a good artist I was always thrown off by his characters' near-constant wide-eyed expressions. Thirdly, he's just a nice guy, and thus no need for hate. I met him at the Toronto Comic Art Festival and I can tell you it's damn near impossible to have any ill will toward him.

i dunno why people hate immonen´s artwork. In ultimate spiderman i believe the probelm was tat when the readers think about U.S the will think of bagleys spidey and also bagley was able to make spiderman really look kinda aracnid and have dynamic poses. If i had to choose id stay with bagley on U.S but if we are comparing the artists by their art and not by the book id rather choose immonen

i think regardless of who is a better artist, changing mid-series is always gonna be difficult for fans cos it's almost like in a TV show if they were to replace the entire cast, same writers, same characters, just looks different, it's gonna take some getting used to but i'm sure i will!

Most people would dismiss him offhand, just like many dismissed Immonen before they actually saw his work on the book.

But you have waited to see his work until you criticize him.

I have seen it im just not a fan. I think he draws spidey very well, and the other characters are in his style yes, but his style of faces and other things I just dont sit well with, and thats a big turn off for me as the whole thing is one of my favorite parts of ultimate spidey, the people behind the masks and all that.

I can see how you might think that, but in my opinion, although I was first a bit thrown off by the new art style, he was able to convey the characters' emotions well. Which is what I think counts most.

Immonmen is more cartoony which is kinda the point of a comic but i got sooo used 2 bagley i dunno bagley left when all the good storys art-wise came along
