  • LOVE THIS SONG,SPECIALLY THE PART WHERE THE PART HE SINGS MY BODY BURNING, AND THE RIVER,WELL HE DOESNT SING THAT IN THIS ONE,BUT STILL.A GOOD SONG AND A GOOD BAND.THEY WERE AT THERE BEST AT THAT TIME AND STAGE.

    RIP NIGEL.

  • Adam Ant gave up his Indian look up way way too soon for my liking. Prince Charming image I hated, though I loved the music.

The Cult were a GODSEND to me. Dreamtime and Love. Everything else, Southern Death Cult, Sonic Temple and Electric too. The Manor Sessions were glorious.

  • so brilliant !!!

  • Ian was, and is, the one who was always into the Native American thing. He spent several years in Canada living near the Six Nations reservation.

  • Oh, they were just so obsessed with Native American culture...just dripping with it...I adore these guys! Will love them, always...'as Babylon crumbles into sand...oh, sweet flower blossom in my hand'...Oh, god, I loooove these guys!! Thank you, so much for this vod!!

  • @moremoxi Southern Death Cult had a version of this song too before they broke up.

  • @albatross1977 I think I used to have that album...eeh...or, cassette, or something.

  • I have listend to the cult since 1989 and it never gets old these guys kick ass

  • Agreed....how many bands can you say have stayed the test of time? Still pertinent after all these years....Rise was a great song a couple years ago.

  • Oh the hours i spent locked away listening to this album jst 17 at the time, now nearly 40 saw them twice in last two years in uk and several times before, best rock band on the planet.

  • With you on that - only in USA. Dreamtime - special place in my heart. 40 this year, can hardly believe it.

  • classic! Great stuff!

  • Well forget that last post.

    Found it.

  • Anybody got a video for their song "Bone Bag"?

I know there's a video out there somewhere as I've only seen a brief glimpse of it. It's something similar to this.

I think they did it while they were still called the "Death Cult".

  • Oh yeah. I heard it on a b side. It does rock!

  • I've never heard it. I'll look it up.

  • Nicely said. They had an Album called "Peace" until they decided it sounded like Love mk.2

"Electric" was born from the decision. Oh yeah!

  • Yes you are.

  • Astbury; formerly Ian Lindsey.

  • can't wait 2 c them in buffalo nov 14 07

  • Followed them for years 'til the rock act got too much !!

  • the album version is great - but not as good as this! they were great live.

  • Ian did not sell out Billy did thats why they finally split.

  • skeleman, this track was on the first cult albulm, Dream time. There was an acoustic version on one of the 12" singles as well.

  • thanks....on to the hunt....

  • what album is this off of?

  • Death Cult's self titled has an acoustic version, The Cult's Dreamtime has this version

  • Dreamtime. Good album.

  • great sound on Billy's guitar and what a voice Ian had .

  • greatest song of the cult!

  • This is one of my favourite songs. I like the cult before and after rick rubin. We're talking about 2 different bands...of course.

  • I love this song. Too bad Ian Ashbury's music took such a commercial turn.

  • Yea you can thank that piece of shit Rick Rubin for ruining this band. That shithead used them for a hit and destroyed who they were. Oh well, still great to see people putting there classic stuff up here. Great stuff!

  • I'm thirsty for more. :)
