The bad thing about absolutely loving this song/album/band, is that for me there is no other way to get the same grooves, production, aggression and mind-bending angular/jerky guitar riffing. I've found some bands, or single tracks from bands, that get somewhat close, but it's still miles away. There is just something very specific about Meshuggah, and the "obZen" album in particular, that I cannot get anywhere else, which is both a bummer, and quite extraordinary, at the same time.

@Airlight I think that's becuase Meshuggah approach music (specifically the rhythmic phrasing of music) in a completely unique way. I've learned one meshuggah song so far on guitar, and it was both challenging, yet simple in many ways. The groove that you speak of, no other band has even come close. and it's a shame to see bands try and fail left and right. All the time.
