I had a linksys for a year and it gave me nothing but problems I Believe it was a BEFW11S4 and it gave me nothing but disconnections,hangs and unreliability. my friends and I made a video called "linksys destruction" on here if you want to see it. I bought a D-Link WBR 1310 and it's been the greatest router for 3 years and continues to be reliable, I barely get disconnects from it and when I do,just unplug it and plug it back in. D-Link is the shit when to comes to router a net connection.

Well... "Shit for your computer" cannot fix the router, router has its own bios and therefore it doesn't even need a friggin computer to work. You do need a computer to configure but that does not change how it works when you buy a new computer.

To fix the problem, you should have just removed the Broadcom component, and busted that. That's the only PoS in the whole thing. Also, WRT54G v2 with DDWRT custom firmware rules.

I wish I had of known I bought a Linksys router as well (the same model) after three days it stopped working. I had three desktops wired to it and my sons laptop wirelessly. The Router would pick at random what computer it wanted to run and when! After tossing it down the stairs and taking the piece o shit back to Walmart, I bought a DIR615 D Link....Should have known better, I have a D Link DI604 in storage but it isn't wireless.
