Private insurance paid for Kyle's dynavox and his medical equipment. We pay for this insurance monthly through my husband's work. Not all things are covered but we do what we have to for him. Just because Obama signed some piece of legislation, doesn't mean it took effect right then. I'm hoping it's overturned or not funded because Kyle's care would decline drastically.
Are all the technical aids (dynavox, toys with switches, electric wheelchair, ventilator etc...) part of the medical cover you receive in USA or is it something parents have to pay from their own pockets to ensure some comfort in the life of their children, children such as Kyle? Has the health coverage changed since Mr Obama changed the health insurance in USA and is it better, worse or the same for you and Kyle?
I can't wait till Chloe gets hers!! I KNOW she's going to ask someone to leave her alone at some point!! LOL! Our kids get more attention than they want I'm sure!! :)
