  • This guy is freakin great.

  • thanks for confusing me sir. have a good day.

  • @houghtboysftw (myself) oops i meant on the f(x) graph the max/mins will be dots on the derivative graph!

  • The way I was taught is simple. Positive slope of f(x) = above the x-axis on the derivative graph. Same for the opposite... negative slope of f(x) = below the x-axis on the derivative graph. The dots on the f(x) graph will be critical values (relative max/mins) on the derivative graph.

    I hope this helped!

  • ....so essentially, it is the original graph moved down and bumped left/right a little bi?

  • Thank you....You are helpful, ergo you are nice.

  • i thought derivatives always had -1 curve

like if the f(x) has 3 curves then f prime(x) will have 2 curves....?

oh and do you have a vid on how to graph imperfect curves

the graph you showed had perfect curves

  • thanks so much, you saved my life!. can anyone but a link of graph an original function base on the derivative graph? i can't find it :(

  • @blackrose4854 Type in "Graphing Antiderivatives" on YouTube, it should be one of the first few that show up. Enjoy!

  • thank you so much! i was searching all over the net for graphing derivative based solely on a graph of f(x). (with no clear definition of what f(x) is)

  • how can 2 ppl dislike this? this video's a life saver! :)

  • thank you!!!! i totally understand it now. hope i can apply ur mthd successfully =))

  • Nothing to say... but THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!

  • THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH this was amazing.

I'll get a 100 on my next test hahaha ;D

  • nice brief and thou row explanation

  • Fantastic! Thanks so much.

  • Very Helpful!
