About the only way one gets ANY support for this piece of Adobe junk is to either buy it from a place like this, or pay through the nose direct to Adobe. Point is: this programme is so bad, it requires LOTS of support. Adobe offers none except to sell it to you as an extra way of gouging you. BUY ANY OTHER VIDEO EDITING PROGRAMME. Learn from someone who has been burned.

You can open a JPEG file in camera RAW . In editor, use 'Open as' and tell it to open as a RAW file from the format menu. This will put you into the RAW interface. Make you adjustments as then 'Open image'. This puts you back into main Photshop editor where you can save it as a JPEG again.

You have to set up your camera to take RAW. It's not the same as TIFF (I don't think). For example, I have a Canon Rebel. It will not take RAW photos in Auto mode. I have to use the manual options (such as AV), and I have to set it up to take RAW photos in the menu. I like the flexibility that RAW photos give me, so my camera actually saves in both RAW and jpeg. The disadvantage is that RAW takes up TONS of space. :)

It is there when you open up an image in RAW. It is not available for jpeg images.

Maybe I'm just not getting it, but I opened up the image and still don't see the tool. I opened up a TIFF image...does that work? hmm...RAW image is just the original image right?
