im in middle school and i can play concerning hobbits but on a level 2-3, dude you rock! @GrenadeCatcher yes, for sure, your playing and music skills will help you on some subjects, but ofc some of thing that you will meet first time, for example; how to make a sound with bow. to playing an instrument needed lots of different skills. some of them u tasted with guitar, some of them u didnt yet. i guess i will write you comprehensive answer with p.message. ^^.

@shewitt99 its really amazing! about vibrato,there are lots of ways to practice it.and all players find their own personal unique and best vibrato.its really a big topic,but there is 2 critical things about vibrato for me; strenght of the finger and to be ''relax and free'' on muscles while doing it. you need to lookfor it with trials and practice. you can find some tutorials for ideas, but you seem that you start to play violin new, give time yourself to feel easy on violin :)
