That's why they are considered two different timelines. That one is considered a separate one from the original, and is not "canon" as far as the main timeline is concerned. Products and media afterwards can decide which one to follow. Star Trek Online, for example, follows it. While anything else don't have to unless they want to.

I don't know what interview you read, but he's said with the exception of one time, he did all his own singing on the show. The one time he didn't, it was because he didn't have the range for it.

...the problem then is, that "the new doctor" is truly that 21st century actor he was these days, requires a lot of attention, a luxury living space, is flirting with all the chicks he sees, who love it and always talks about his nerving wife, that he has money but never really gets angry, more that ittypitty pampered hollywood guy. And the program just can't be disabled and finally jumps on the bridge while some attack or first contact with a new species, saying he is Vinc Stone, famous actor!

I think there should have been one episode where somehow the doctor has malfunctions again, in one moment he looks okay and in the next he suddenly changes his look: Bruce Willis with his shaved bald head looks into the camera and says "Where am I, I am an actor, not a doctor!?" He is Vinc Stone, a famous Hollywood actor from the 21st century who was just making a movie about...something...and then awakes in the future, as the doctor and is still just a concious hologram based on human history.
