It is frustrating that in this country you can protest the rights for other causes, such as for the gay community (example) but christians are supposed to take the insults and go away quietly. I can just about understand why some intelligent people believe in God, in mitigating circumstances, but denying evolutionary theory in its entirety just strikes me as being ridiculous. Christianity existed LONG before a Roman Emperor ever decided to make it an organized religion. The same guy who implemented christianity into the Roman Empire, sat in the same seat of authority who had christians ripped apart by wild beasts in the coliseum. I don`t characterize all of any group based on what a few people do in the group because I know some would argue christians are fake in real life and while that may be true of some it`s not of most. We need to be aware of our portrayal in movies but also in real life. We have a right to our beliefs just like everyone else. It is frustrating that in this country you can protest the rights for other causes, such as for the gay community (example) but christians are supposed to take the insults and go away quietly. We do as christians however, need to do a better job collectively of showing the love of God through our actions and not just scripture. It's not a story, "bro". In that Scripture, Jesus did NOT "give" Peter the Church. Not even three versus later, he was rebuking Peter for hosting the Spirit of Satan. This is why many Catholics are going to hell. Mankind does not have authority over the Church, or the souls of man. Get that through your head. Translate the verse from Greek, and you'll understand what Christ really said.

And finally, yes Muslims, Jews, and Christians, DO worship the same God. They all come from the same place, Aramaic, (which is the language both Hebrew and Arabic come from). Almost the first 1/3 of the Koran and Bible are identical.

You raise some good points, but I'd recommend possibly restructuring and talking about a few major sub-categories at a time. There's too much in there to try and discuss. I'd say that overall the misrepresentation claim is definitely justified. But hey, if you think Christians have it bad, try being a Muslim in the US today.
Also I think you're doing the same thing you're complaining about - making a sweeping statement. Not all priests are the same. Heck, today most aren't even Catholic. Peace

Christianity existed LONG before a Roman Emperor ever decided to make it an organized religion. The same guy who implemented christianity into the Roman Empire, sat in the same seat of authority who had christians ripped apart by wild beasts in the coliseum. Also, Christ didn't speak a word of Latin. He spoke primarily Aramaic, Hebrew, and possibly some Greek. The Catholic Church tried to keep that Gospel from getting out. They failed. And before the Protestants broke from the Church around 1600s, there was no other Christianity besides Catholic. Jesus gave the Church to Saint Peter and Saint Peter handed it down from pope to pope to pope for 2000 years.
Maybe I'm not the one who needs to get his facts straight.

As for my facts, I've studied the Word of God since I was 8 years of age. You can't support the Catholic faith with the Bible, sir. There is simply too much conflicting content. Primarily, the Bible says there is One who is Mediator between God and man, One who bears control over the Church, One who judges the soul of man. This person is not a priest, bishop, or a pope, and He does not share power.

I was pretty impressed by Hollywood's "The Blind Side" with Sandra Bullock portraying Christians accurately. Granted, its based on a true story and the actual person that she portrayed was heavily involved in making sure that they did a good job with it. ;) I imagine they would have butchered it if not for that.

@Kaddaemon Constantine didn't have followers, he didn't do anything at all except make Catholicism legal. He left the religious decisions to the Church Fathers of the time like Eusebius. He made almost no decisions about how Christianty was interpreted because he didn't really care about Christianity. The Church Fathers in the Catholic Church at the time of Constantine tried to base their model on the earlier Church Fathers.
