i see a lot of argument back and forth about the SVT Cobra. This is a SVT COBRA tribute not an 03/04 Cobra Tribute. So for some of the ones saying the car is under 400hp stock is wrong. Yes, a non 03/04 Cobra is well under 400hp but a 03/04 has well over 400hp with a blower. And to answer the question *reverseoreo08* and 03/04 cobra can push over 700hp to the ground with a blower change, an upgrade to a KB Mammoth or a Whipple 3.4L. But it will never see that power without some other parts.

@281Tbird if you do a little research you will find that there were 02 Cobras built, but there were only about 100 of them made and they were sent to australia. You can find pics of them. they weren't supercharged, but they did push about 315 HP.

@reverseoreo08 The 03/04 Cobra engine can handel 800+ horsepower on a stock bottom end. Many tuners have seen 1,000+ horsepower Cobras on stock internals. To produce 700+ horsepower @ the flywheel with one is fairly easy, and can be done with upgrading to a twin screw setup. The engine will handel this fine, but things like an aftermarket clutch and upgraded half shafts are a wise thing to have because the stock ones tend to fail at that power level.
The car has under 400HP stock. And by adding a 5 G Supercharger.. You can double the original HP... Thats a good deal where can i find one??!!??!! lmao

Yeah, they are built great...I just got to fix some of the stuff on mine. Guy who owned it before me wasn't the best at keeping it. I have swirl marks, rear bumper is broken, couple of dents...there are dents from inside the trunk because of the stereo he put in it...I'm about to take it out...I kinda want to take all of the fiberglass out.

their is also the sts turbo system if you dont want the heat under the hood. turbos can be specialy built for you car and aplication. turbo's are more expensive and more to maintain. but its less work to get more out of a turbo than a supercharger. all you have to do is turn up the boost and retard the timing correctly and you get more power no need to change pullies and stuff like that. i personaly like both.
ill take this over a new corvette zr1, gt500 or a Lamborghini any day.

The typical Civic runs 16's on a good day. Stock cobra runs low 12's. I'm sorry man, but you just cant beat a car that can run 700hp from just a supercharger change. You need at least 500hp in a Civic to have a chance. Good luck making a Civic safely run 500+hp on only 10k.

@xchris90x Yea, but do you really think those 281s make that kind of power w/ dirt cheap internals and crappy heads? Of course not. Ford built them to handle extra power, hence why it doesn't take a ton of work to make a lot of power. A typical Civic isn't built for that, hence "economy". And don't think a Cobra is the only car out there that can make those numbers with those mods.

@importsdominate I completely agree. And thats the problem, a Civic is an economy car. Its not a race car. Dont get me wrong, Civics can be bad ass when done right. I love all cars, be it muscle or tuner. As long as its not rice. serious respect to you guys out there who have a proper tuner car. But when it comes to hp, you just cant beat American. You guys have some awesome rides, but in the power category u just cant beat muscle. Proper muscle can make 2000+ hp. its insane man.

I do know that V8s can produce more power than, as far as I know, anything smaller. I mean, we all know about the 8000hp top-fuel dragsters. i see a lot of argument back and forth about the SVT Cobra. This is a SVT COBRA tribute not an 03/04 Cobra Tribute. So for some of the ones saying the car is under 400hp stock is wrong. Yes, a non 03/04 Cobra is well under 400hp but a 03/04 has well over 400hp with a blower. And to answer the question *reverseoreo08* and 03/04 cobra can push over 700hp to the ground with a blower change, an upgrade to a KB Mammoth or a Whipple 3.4L. But it will never see that power without some other parts.

@281Tbird if you do a little research you will find that there were 02 Cobras built, but there were only about 100 of them made and they were sent to australia. You can find pics of them. they weren't supercharged, but they did push about 315 HP.

if you put 8000 in a 03 cobra and only got 530 out of it then the shop bent you over and drove dick deep into you. a ported eaton with upper and lower will get you that for around 2k

Tune or not, And you aint runnin no 700+ HP without changin some things, You'll throw belts off..you have to change the cams, your engine will prolly be destroyed.. You know nothin about cars.. get you an svt cobra and supercharger and run 700HP and see how long your car last.. ive never heard of anyones who did..

@reverseoreo08 The 03/04 Cobra engine can handel 800+ horsepower on a stock bottom end. Many tuners have seen 1,000+ horsepower Cobras on stock internals. To produce 700+ horsepower @ the flywheel with one is fairly easy, and can be done with upgrading to a twin screw setup. The engine will handel this fine, but things like an aftermarket clutch and upgraded half shafts are a wise thing to have because the stock ones tend to fail at that power level.

Yeah, they are built great...I just got to fix some of the stuff on mine. Guy who owned it before me wasn't the best at keeping it. I have swirl marks, rear bumper is broken, couple of dents...there are dents from inside the trunk because of the stereo he put in it...I'm about to take it out...I kinda want to take all of the fiberglass out.

their is also the sts turbo system if you dont want the heat under the hood. turbos can be specialy built for you car and aplication. turbo's are more expensive and more to maintain. but its less work to get more out of a turbo than a supercharger. all you have to do is turn up the boost and retard the timing correctly and you get more power no need to change pullies and stuff like that. i personaly like both.
