@ShiebMo Well, maybe at this age. But all in all, Fedorov was a higher impact player than Z has been thus far. Zetterberg is a great talent, but I wouldn't mention him in the same breath as Fedorov just yet. But he still has a lot of hockey ahead of him.
well put stew918 and samrosen93. we have great hockey fans in detroit, but sergei is probably the most polarizing figure. maybe he should have stayed in detroit, i'm sure he thinks about that himself, but don't we all seek change in our lives when things get routine? wouldnt you move to aneheim california if you lived in russia and then detroit? this guy deserved respect when he came back to joe louis arena for all the hard work and cups that he was crucial in helping us win. period.
He didn't have to leave, thats what Detroit fans are pissed at him for. Ken Holland was offering him 5 year contracts worth just as much as he would get from Anaheim yet he still left us. I believe had Feds been on the 2005-2006 Detroit team, they would have won the cup that year.
@stew918 exactly, and if we did sign him, we wouldn't have enough money to keep Datsyuk and Zetterberg and many future players who helped win that '08 Cup
dont care.... i'd keep zetterberg any day over fed
