  • I can do this but with traditional grip. Took me a long time to get it up to speed.

  • Korn rocks!

  • snare drum

  • Can someone explain it to me i seriously dont get it >_>

  • Name of the song????

  • shit its kinda hard but i will practice amazing dude, thnx for this useful video, btw whats the song?

  • my goal is to go at jojo mayer speeds with this

  • This is easy but you must first bust to create.

  • This is exactly the kind of video on the Push-Pull I've been looking for, for a long time. Thanks man!

  • wow this video cleared this up completely. i saw the jojo mayer clip, but it was too fast to comprehend im ma maaaaiiiiind >_<

thanks for a great post :D

  • do you use the rim at all? and what do you prefer: the rim or no rim?

  • 5/5

  • the push pull is like the gravity blast... lOOOOOOLLL

  • @666daniel234 minus the rim

  • is this also called the Swedish gravity blast? or am i not understanding?

  • @gregorys1989 No, a gravity blast is using the rim as a fulcrum.

  • Thanks, this didn't make sense to me until watching this...

  • nice man, try not doing the pointer finger thing. keep a consistent fulcrum without letting anything hang off. great job though!

  • yeah this is really hard haha. great technique.

  • what's the back ground music?

    it's cool!

and this tech. is so hard...

  • shit thats difficult o_o

  • Yes, at first, but once you get it, it's really easy and you can play really really fast without forcing

  • is it useful to do fast fills??

  • MMh, I think not cause you can't have power with this technique. But you can use it on yout ride cymbal for exemple

  • Especially for fast metal. One hand on snare and the second one on ride for example.

  • think of it like boucing a basketball, you do lil movement with ur hand , the ball travels by itself a long way. you just guide or control it. dont waana sound like i kno so much , i just hope maybe it helps

  • shit seems like gravities but not on the rim

  • Thank you. That was a great vid. I thought it was just gravity til it slowed down, then I was like, "Oh shoot!" I'll try that.

  • Good luck with it man! give it time!

  • I was just wondering, but is this the same thing as Open-Close?

  • just another name for it

  • Short, sweet and right to the point. Very educational. Excellent job man!!!

  • thank you very much for the great feed back!

  • looks like someone has that crunchy Jojo Mayer DVD :P:P great job

  • quite crunchy my friend

  • gravity blast or hyperblast

  • This is totally different. The blasts you're talking about both involve a rim roll. A Gravity blast is where 16th/or 32 note of the hand match the kick drum. The hyper blasts is where the rim roll is put between the hit of kick. I think the kick goes on one. I'm not too sure about that one.

  • Can you do both hands alternating or doubles? id like to see that

  • I'll do that for you! subscribe for me =]

  • i can do this technique, it's just hard putting both hands together to get the faster notes

  • time bro. It's been about 10 months since this comment. How are you doing now?

  • i can see that your very consistent with your push pulls on left and right hands.. cool.. 5 stars for you..

  • Thank you so much bro

  • what song is that in the background?

  • The band POWERGLOVE. check'em out

  • noooooo

I have plenty of room for improvement

Practice! Practice! Practice! Practice! Practice! Practice! Practice! Practice! Practice! Practice! Practice! Practice!

  • How have you mastered so many technique?!?!?! Simply amazing.
