  • Pure Obnoxious Reporting

  • racing is fixed...you brits should burn down the track. Fans burnt down Rockingham Park because the trots were being fixed. I would rather play roullette...than see these corrupt cock suckers get away with stealing...like corrupt cops getting a second chance....damn them...burn the fucker down

  • . . . even the royals are just as bad !!

  • . . . . what a corrupt bunch of bastards . . . see the toffs in their bowler hats at Royal Ascot, corrupt to the core, all of them. I say there chaps, kiss my bleeding ass !!. . ha ha ha !!!

  • The jockey club are a complete shambles. Spineless leaches

  • gay kellaway... useless at training horses...FACT!!!

  • The BBC have now lost most of their racing coverage. The BBC allowed this documentary to be shown in order to expose a sport they consider corrupt and bent. It just shows how crass the Corporation is. They did something similar before the World Cup vote. When is someone going to pull the plug on these types of so-called 'serious' investigation! It didn't help that the 'investigative reporter' was an obnoxious twit.

  • What I understand from this is VC did nothing wrong hence he's still around. We may not agree with giving trainers a certain amount of free bets but if there was no law in place at the time the jockey club could hardly charge VC with being clever. If Panorama were so clever why didn't they know that at the time and if they did why pull people up who weren't breaking any laws?

  • i couldnt tell you hahaha!! obvious he has account!

  • Silence then violence always gives them away!

  • i heard that a bookie has no legal obligation to pay out winnings.

I seem to remember a footballer, may have been Tony Cascarino or Vinnie Jones having a big win in Ireland and the bookie going missing before paying out. They tracked him down and got the money out of him eventually.

  • @innit27 If you owe Vinnie Jones money, you pay OK

  • @innit27 you are right, it's an honorary debt and we don't have to pay out on a bet even after it's won. of course the punter does have IBAS that do police the industry incase of disputes...

  • i am a jockey myself this is bullshit i have never been asked 2 fix a race.people who say this are talkin thru theyre pockets

  • Fixed races are very rare, but if you're going to tell us you've never been asked to give a horse an easy race and not be bothered about winning, I don't believe you.

  • stop lying ff's

  • @TheHogan2009 we all hate you guys if you are one tell your mates!!

  • @TheHogan2009 you're obviously not good enough to influence a race as always being on the donkey at the back. keep taking he diarorhea tablets.

  • @innit27 what would u know u wanker least im man enough to do not talk shit about something i know fuck all about

  • @TheHogan2009 judging by your grammar you are highly versed in talking shit. must be all that time spent in the sauna and speaking in a squeeky voice.

  • on a slight sidenote, i hate people who have no interest in the sport, the have a go punters, who give out about jockeys who burst their bollocks every week, nad ahve one bad ride, make a mistake, and give out from their armchairs or the betting office. racing, by and large, is clean.. cleaner than most sports..

  • that could be wagered and if I still wanted to place a bet it would have to be at SP only. I was totally gobsmacked. If that was not unusual enough a minute or so before the OFF D Nicholls trained horse FALASTEEN was withdrawn- which obviously meant that there would be a hefty rule 4 deduction (because Falasteen was now second favourite).

Given the above FACTS something was obviously not right. Can anybody throw some light on this connundrum?

  • its still happening!! bookies know so much..look at the short prices you'll be given by the major firms on young or unraced horses.. its rediculous!!

  • Can anybody explain why I was refused a three figure bet on "Here Now And Why" running at Thirsk (1.55) yesterday (02 05 09) in my local Ladbrokes. Seeing that the second favourite VILNIUS was not running it looked a good bet even at skinny odds. But when I went to place the bet 5 minutes before the OFF I was informed by the manager that the most I could have on was £50. When I asked why he just replied that ALL Ladbrokes Offices had just recieved instructions that that was the maximum amount

  • This was way back in 2002 regular monitoring needs to take place.
