Mine freshening from the alphabet is that the laziest letter in the wonn-alphabet is a Q. Because a Q can't work without a U. And if you don't have a U, you can't use a Q. We'll have to sing a song about it.
@redD4Dworld Speaking for Treemeadow because I understand the simple statement... It was WAY better because people didn't wear their feelings on their sleeves like sniveling little cry babies getting offended at every single thing. People could laugh at themselves, didn't take everything so seriously, and there weren't a million laws based on people being offended. Now SO many have gotten to the point where they think their "rights" means they are entitled. What a joke and it's gotten old
Arte Johnson (born January 20, 1929), full name Arthur Stanton Eric Johnson, is an American actor best known for his work on Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In, an American TV show (1968--1973), on which he played various characters including "Wolfgang", a smoking Nazi soldier with the catch phrase "Very interesting... but stupid!"
They had "Laugh-In" in syndication on Nick at Nite in the late '80s when I was little and I absolutely loved this show. My two favorite characters were Ruth Buzzi's Gladys character (a huge part of the reason I found her hilarious was because I thought that hairnet knot in the middle of her forehead was a spiderweb), and Arte Johnson's Nazi soldier. When my mom was outside in the yard, I'd stand behind a bush or tree branch, pull it down, and say "very interesting!" I was a weird kid.
His name is Arte Johnson and I think he is a Swedish American. I think he is dressed like a WWI German soldier and he always hid out in bushes and things on the TV show Laugh in that was in the 1960s and said wired things like that... I thought he was cute.
I was wondering if the "U" part was a play on the german "jude" = 'jew" I believe, what with his helmet reminding me of Nazis and stuff.

U, U, where are you?
I can't see until you're U.
Then I could become a Q.
That's why we always have Q, U!
It's cute!

Probably would have been the early 70's then. That's when laugh in was on and this character would have been popular.
