• Yes, "well at least a DVD of the video portion can". It is now available. Look for sample videos tonight I hope.

  • This is outstanding! I am a haunter myself although I tend to emphasize cemeteries and ghosts on pulley systems. (very gothic. This takes a technology approach to halloween to a new level. congratulations. Bill Bloom (homewood haunts cemetery) ps. my website is lame, give me time!

  • WOW.

    That's amazing.

    I wouldn't mind going there for Halloween. : D

  • Oh, my freaking God, I loved the hell out of this. Why can't people like you live in MY city (Denver) ? You are so toadly awsome. I laughed my butt off at the Pumpkin Quartet.

  • how did you get the eyes and teeth?

  • They are just my eyes and teeth (well video of them anyway...)

  • Wow!! very awsome!! Love the video!!

  • WOW, that was amazing!

  • I love that your display is just-right scary -- very tasteful, and ok to show my children. We are more than impressed by your creativity, both musically and theatrically and enjoyed seeing how your display has evolved through the years.

Bravo! From your newest fans in Boise - can't wait to see 2007.

  • This is incredible! Love the singing Jack-O-Lanterns! What kind of sound equipment did you use?

  • My home theater surround sound system, but that is not what you are hearing on the video. I wish it was that good, but my neighbors probably wouldn't appreciate it... ;-)

  • how did you get the eyes and teeth

  • LOVE IT..Please wont you be my neighbor?

  • BRILLIANT!

  • I would love to know how you did this- it's just fabulous. The song is great; please publish for the rest of us!

  • Pt 2

Dave, did you sing all vocal parts too? If you do release your songs I highly recommend you rerecord "On Halloween Night." The BOO at the end of the recording sounds like the audio is clipping as if you overdrove the inputs to your mixer. If Disney wants to use your material and wants to put music behind your song please ask them to make one version the song in a cappella.

  • Pt 1

Dear Dave, I highly recommend you have your songs published. The lyrics are great as well as the spooky melody. You could sell your songs for a $1 on iTunes and easily make a million (just look at how many people have viewed this one video). I wouldn't be surprised if someone from Disney/Pixar contacts you. Disney hasn't come out with a spooky cartoon in decades.

  • Wow! I can see why you won the national award. You are very talented and I can tell you have worked in video production (and if not you should). What's your favorite tool... Mac? or PC? (it's got to be a Mac). Everything looks awesome and the pumpkins are a wonderful touch. I'd like to guess what program you used for your project, but I don't want to post my answer here.

  • I love the singing pumpkins, the lip synching is spectacular, you can practically lip read them.

  • i love running a haunted house

  • This is the best haunted house I'ver ever seen! Out of curiosity, did you make the pumpkins yourself? How the devil did you do that, if so?? Love it!!

  • These I made, but they are ugly ;-). In 2006 I found some perfect inflatables.

  • That was freakin awesome. I loved it. Just makes me love Halloween even more.

  • my friend and i had a haunt in his garage with his dads help 7 other scare actors 2 fogs machines we had a good turn out but somepeople were to afraid to come in

  • some good effects

  • Dear sir:

Might a get a copy of the pumpkin song?

  • how many trick or treaters do you usually get a every year?

  • Around 300 I think

  • Nice

  • I think this is so cool. You have got imagination that won't quit!! I can't get over how well done this is, FANDAMNTASTIC, I LOVE IT~

  • Where did you get this song? I have been trying to find it since I saw your video on Hauntworld. (I work for the company that owns Hauntworld.) I have friends that are in Barbershop Quartets and they would just love this song. :-) Thanks

    -Ashley-

  • I actually wrote it. Glad you liked it. I don't have sheet music for it, but if you would like it message me privately.

  • VERY COOL! I'm going to show this to my family so they can do this with their kids.

  • :o So cool.

  • My boy and I really enjoyed this. Thanks a lot. Well done!

  • jut amazed by the video and graphics.

  • My halloween display is usually based on murder and acid trips.

    You did a good job.

  • Sounds interesting -- let's have some video. :-)

  • I'll be sure to film my yard this halloween.

  • The red sort-of laser flash effects seem off-theme to me, but I love the cyclopean eye, and the singing pumpkins easily rival the ones at Disney's Haunted Mansion Holiday. The ghost effects are a nice touch too. Glad you have a cooperative neighbor across the street. :-)

  • The red sort-sort of lasers remind me of like the scene in Poltrieguiest where the girl gets sucked into the closet...like that crazy lighting and stuff...

  • The point behind the flashing effects is that they look just like the non-projected lighting I use behind the real skeleton the rest of the month (when the projection is not running). More designed for the locals who probably don't even notice the fact that the skeleton comes alive Halloween night. Maybe I should change the background to something cooler.... Probably not this year ;-)

  • those singing pumpkins are very fasinating. well done!

  • That was all rather impressive. The Ghosts were spectacular. I shall probably (with all respect) try something like that sometime for my house. I am a rather twisted individual so i will use my ghosts at basically any time of the year...

  • ok sorry i just read your comment srry ok if i could know what type of projector you used?

  • Crummy Sharp Notevision. 1200 lumen LCD. Amazing what you can do with event the wimpiest projectors.

  • Thanks for posting this. In my home haunt this year I wanted to capture a similar effect in a library scene...with the same effect...at least now I know what I'd be up against...

How'd you do the talking pumpkin effect? The same way Diseny does for the haunted mansion? I love this effect btw!

  • hey i was wondering about the projectors where you get them and also how you created the videos? cuz im planning on doing mebay like one projecter in my front yard cuz its goin to be a graveyard and do like some scary person walking around dont know yet but also my neighbors across the street would let us put projectors up no problem so ya if i could have some advice?

  • That was very very impressive and original.very cool and very well done.I cant imagine all the work that went into doing that.People like you are what makes halloween night so awesome!!!

  • I did the lightning effect on my house this year I'll be putting up a video here pretty quick, yours however is incredible, a million props to you.

  • THAT was the most impressive haunt I've seen. WELL DONE! I can't wait to see this years version. Where is this located??

  • Nevermind. I read the full profile. :-)

  • OMG SWEET

  • Absolutely fantastic. As a fellow haunter, I certainly appreciate the creativity. Way to go!

  • HOLY MOLEY That is pretty friggin' cool. I almost don't want to know how you did it. I assume projections, bu t man that is cool. Good for you, HAPPY HALLOWEEN.

  • And buy the way, I tried to rate this with 5 stars and said 4 in error. Consider you 5 starred.

  • Very well done and creative. Nice job. The song is cute and imaginative. I love the ghost's flying around. I also would love to learn more on how to do this F/X thanks.

  • How? How did you do this? and what song is the Pumpkins singing? This is totally outrageous! Please reply!

  • Thanks! It is not as tricky as it looks. The song is mine, new one coming this year actualy. Glad you liked it! If you want to know more about how it works, send me a private message with your email...

  • Enough people have asked, I figure I ought to say that this is just 1 projector from across the street, and some heavily processed video from Adobe Premiere Pro. Have a great Halloween everyone!

  • very nice!
