  • i never can say goodbye, michael

  • God bless you Stevie

  • 7 people are dubstep fans....

  • What keyboard are those anyways?

  • @BitOveRate

The top is his original Clavinet D6.

The bottom looks like his MultiVox with the Crumar guts in it but I could be wrong as I had read that that keyboard doesn't leave the studio now.

  • @BitOveRate The top keyboard is the Hohner D6 clavinet, the bottom keyboard is the Yamaha Motif XF.

  • I want to go see stevie but he never tours by me :'(

  • meaksam

    not probably 100%

  • @5:58 it really hits you what Stevie's feeling at that moment. God bless you Stevie, Michael. We love ya.

Thank you for posting this, I've never seen it until now.

  • Thank you so much for posting this! 7 people have no soul.

Please don't ever pull this down.

    Rhythmicons

  • what song is this?

  • @eggnoy Never Can Say Goodbye - Jackson 5

  • its truly a shame that michael died he di so much for music and even in death will continue to do so much for music and stevie wonder is one of the greats in music also

  • just saying that back up singer is the man

  • @rowin09 ARE U SERIOUS? I THOUGHT FRAMPTON DID IT FIRST....

  • @jpribbleNY1 Actually, Joe Walsh did it before Frampton.

  • @jpribbleNY1 Uhhh no Peter Made it popular in his Genre. A artist named Roger Troutman made the talkbox really well known as well so did Stevie.

No one is ripping off anyone.

  • @Moog168 YEAH I KNOW WHO ROGER TROUTMAN IS, JUST DIDNT KNOW STEVIE DID IT FIRST....

  • @babyboy3601978 fuck u fag

  • Seems we've gone backwards with the music talent thing.

  • nice seats!

  • Stevie probably has a larger range than the keyboard...

  • Another great soul that will never die; Mr. Stevie Wonder.

  • SW is awesome

  • Bullshit

  • incredible person, pinacle of humanity right here

  • I have great respect for Stevie Wonder.....because he is a musician...with a haunting voice....but I expect melody from that voice...compose songs in good scales and variations...that makes music....I f he wants to go in to the History of music..he should think..like that...it is an opinion...

  • @sregnathan do your homework man, stevie wonder formed they way a pop song is sung. if you can't hear melody in his songs, i guess you are deaf. He is in fact a big part of history in music! he has performed with almost every major artist, and everyone looks up to him. he is a true musical genious, just so you know. That's not just my opinion, go ahead and look up what paul mccartney, michael jackson, busta rhymes, raphael saadiq and elton john thinks about him...

  • @sregnathan ::sigh::: I'm not even sure why you would want to spoil a beautiful, moving, heartbreaking tribute from one of the greatest musicians of our time to one of the greatest performers of our time, with such a pointless and preposterous comment. Maybe you cannot hear yourself above the GREATNESS you are confronted with right here.

  • @sregnathan I'm starting to think u don't even listen 2 him. No way u can say things u say if u do.

  • @sregnathan You are obviously trolling, or the biggest fuckin idiot & liar on youtube,(play violin for 40yrs my ass) !! Just for a moment,4get that Stevie Wonder is the greatest singer/songwriter,multi-instrumentalist,producer & arranger EVER! 4get all the songs he has written & produced 4 many artist! STEVIE WONDER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR SYNTHS REPRODUCING AUTHENTIC SOUNDING INSTRUMENTS,such as pianos, organs, strings, drums etc. & STEVIE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ELECTRONIC KEYBOARDS WITH WEIGHTED KEYS!

  • Talkbox, tube to the right of screen.....

  • @sregnathan You are so very, very wrong. Very Wrong. Go ask an adult first before you make remarks about things beyond your comprehension.

  • @sregnathan your an idiot...YOU obviously have know idea of Stevie's music do some research then come back and make an informed comment.

  • @kyhber ..Hey another Idiot..!!..after all what is music..!!!..simply yelling and barking with some lyrics..!!? Stevie Wonder became popular only after that melodious song "I just call"...that is music...melody...I am a musician..violinist for the past 40 years...can play any instrument with ease...Abba is music ..Santana is music..Cliff Richard is music..Engelbert is music..Kraftwerk is music ..Giorgio is music.. Izak Perelman is music..Hillary Hahn is music..Jim Reevesis music.no reserch rqrd

  • @sregnathan u cannot be serious saying stevie wonder has one hit song? I just called to say i love you? that's not even his biggest hit song are you kidding me? and the rest of his songs are "trash"!? only artist you named in the same stratosphere with stevie is Santana..if youve truly played violin for 40 years, you can't possibly be that ignorant to not acknowledge his greatness. you can go anywhere in the world and play his music..u cannot go anyway in the world and play KRAFTWERK...get real.

  • @sregnathan Awesome. You are very smart. Nevermind "Love's In Need of Love Today", or "Superwoman", or "Pastime Paradise", or "As" or "I Wish" or "Superstition" or "Signed, Sealed, Delivered"......"Master Blaster"..PLEASE stop kidding around, because you make yourself sound like an imbecile! How about "You Are the Sunshine of My Life"! O.K., look, just because he never responded to the ridiculous "demo tape" you probably sent in, that's no reason to trash the man!!

  • @sregnathan Since u say that you are a musician, plz understand how important Stevie Wonder was,is & will always be 2 music! Ray Kurzweil said that the 1st weighted keys on the electronic keyboard (Kurzweil250) came from the mind of Stevie Wonder! He also said that synths reproducing authentic sounding instruments like pianos, organs, strings, drums also came from the mind of Stevie Wonder! Read the article on the Kurzweil Music Systems web site! U don't have a fuckin clue about Stevie Wonder!

  • @sregnathan Maybe you don't understand how well known stevie wonder is, for the many songs he is known for, around the world. I sense troll too, but I guess if everyone else is. You're opinion, in my opnion, was poorly thought out and is, in reality, wrong. Facts prove otherwise. He has more than just one famous song, yeah? He has a recognisable tone. He's contributed many works to many genres and he has influenced many artists. If you look into his work, you see little evidence of a gimmick.210

  • @sregnathan

This might be the dumbest comment I've read in months.

  • I think that's a vocoder, not a talkbox, but the tube could be hidden behind the mic.

  • @blkfrench26. His name is Keith John. Longtime Stevie Wonder b/g vocalist.

  • Does anybody know the name of the background singer?

  • Stevie and Michael are two of God's greatest creations.....take advantage and dig up all their works...genius like theirs won't come around for another hundred years...if at all...

  • mj and stevie - both true legends and true genius´

  • I was at this concert!

  • 2:43- goddammmmn

  • Shit! Now i'm crying! I lost it when he said "Michael i never can say goodbye" Keith John was str8 up blowin. Stevie was so over come with grief,he had to stop singing, hold his mike down,& kinda walk away. If anybody have the audio or video of my idol Stevie Wonder sing at my other idol's funeral (Rick James) i would love 2 see it or just hear it, I bet he threw down.

Love u stevie for ever ...God Bless U and Rest in PEACE MY ANGEL MICHAEL

  • Stevie and Michael; none does it better...I'm getting emotional again!

  • awesome!

  • I love the fact that he always gives God praise. That's why he's so powerful. He ministers in the secular arena where there's a great need for hope, true love & faith. Stevie, my man!!!

  • When Stevie asks Keith, one of the back singers, I realised what kind of talented people Stevie surrounds himself with!! You did an awesome job Keith!!

  • God bless you Stevie

  • this is man has soooo much soul running through his blood what a beautiful tribute to his good friend micheal jackson

  • I never can say goodbye to you MIchael ever...

  • he needs his ARP 2600 again

  • Wow, it's great to hear the origniators of the talkbox using it again to pay tribute to MJ and kill that autotune! Stevie is a genius!

  • That was a sweet show...I was on stage running camera for that show about 5 feet from his backup singers.

  • Really? Hey that's cool man. Not many people get to see that perspective.

I hope you aint lying my friend ;)

  • it's not the banshee, it's an old electro harmonix golden throat...great persformance!

  • @r0nes You are incorrect,it is the Rocktron Banshee Stevie is using, after watching Stevie's concert on dvd,I immediately went to Sam Ash & bought the same one.

  • @mrinnervisionz Just because Stevie uses it doesn't mean it's the best talk box btw.....

  • its a rocktron banshie or banshie 2 talkbox he is using, most talkboxes have a white tube, rocktron has a black tube

  • Stevie will never let Michael die :) RIP Michael the world misses you !!!

  • The first bit sounds alot like Peter Frampton live

  • Do you feel alright? Do you feel... like we do.....?

  • Keith John sounds awesome!!!

  • i remember seeing stevie use the talkbox years ago...only now it sounds alot modern

  • Stevie Wonder, if I wasn't an atheist, you would be my god.

    *bows to this man*

  • tru dat

  • @mantaishere DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDE that is my exact sentiment to the nth degree. He is my favorite artist PERIOD and i am vehemently irreligious at the same time. Many props for sharing this contradiction with me!

  • @mantaishere You've let yourself open to attacks from opinionated Christians now.

  • @mantaishere thts exactly wot i think!

  • yeeeeeeeeeeee

  • I am Love Stve

  • oh i see... hey and i didn't mean anything offensive when i said he is better at singing... is a complement (i also said he pretty good at the talkbox as well)

  • well i think that Stevie wonder is better at singing, but he is still pretty good at this. Roger troutman was better though.

  • He was the one that taught roger troutman how to use it. he's basically the pioneer of the talkbox really

  • This is actually true an many a time in Interviews, Roger has said e was inspired by hearing Stevie Wonder do "Papa Was A Rolling Stone" on Talkbox

  • You are a HATER to the extreme. SHUT UP!!!!

  • csuflasher: I am really sorry! Sincerely. I did not mean to offend....I was just giving an opinion on the way the music was being made, not on the performer. I love Stevie Wonder. I want to hear his wonderful voice as I have always heard it, not in this new way that is foreign to me. Am I not understanding something? I really want to know how I offened you and make it right.

  • He's been using that sound when he chooses to for decades, you just did'nt know.

  • You're right. I didn't. tharunna88 straightened me out and I sincerely appreciate it. I don't want to let another great artist become misunderstood, especially by me. I have learned my lesson big time.

  • well check this bro, as bad as it sounds to you he lead tha path for a famous group called zapp & roger and opened up a new genre which i cover called ceck out talkboxerdx or dillio t2k talkbox mahem or anything talkbox but you do have a right to your opinion

  • Thank you for the education. Really. You taught me something I didn't know. I am just out here trying to reconnect with all the greats I have known over the years. Don't want to look back one day and say, 'What ever happened to...?' I learned my lesson the hard way. Pay homage while you have the chance.

  • well i hope a i can help, i made a mistake there im meant to say TALKBOX, but anyways take care

  • Still mad on the box

  • t-pain actually uses auto-tune and maybe melodyne, not a vocoder. You can't get that vocals as clear as t-pain's with a vocoder unless you use a human voice as a carrier, which depletes the purpose of using the vocoder anyway.

  • That wasn't funny or clever

  • Stevie Wonder is simply the best.

  • It's been weeks... yet it still hurts. Those are my TWO inspirations!!! One is gone now... as Stevie said "In the arms of the Almighty"

  • I feel the same. Mike was my number 1. But stevie is a good numer 2.

  • Thanks Stevie..child prodigy's ..the world needs more like you and Michael..:))

  • This was special....Great Post

  • thanks 4 posting this

  • I was there :D

He said "sing it Keith"...but Keith was backstage somewhere, eventually he came on. I hope this whole concert becomes circulated.

  • this shit tears t-pain's ass

  • this has nothing to do with t-pains ass. he doesnt use talkbox.

  • T pain uses a vocoder, which is an extention on autotune

it still takes talent and it makes a very similar sound

  • This is great :) Stevie on the talkbox!

  • I think Kansas City got the best performace from Stevie since it was the night after MJ died. Wonderful performance. Impeccaple sound. Great tribute.

  • i love you Michael!!i miss you!!Stevie is amazing.

  • I was at this concert!! I loved seeing him live and that speakerbox performance was amazing!!!!

  • talkbox

  • OMG this needs to be on a Stevie Live CD. I need this on my ipod
