got it working beautifully, thank you so much! now would changing the geometry to something a tad bit smaller on the y axis allow you to be able to see the whole desktop without having to scroll down to see the bar at the bottom of ubuntu that is covered up by the android bar?

@metallicademon no not exactly tunneling..just chrooting it...actually..VNC is just needed for the GUI, if you wanted you could just get it running through the terminal and leave it at that.

im having some real problems downloading the file. tried 3 times from a laptop, failed at around 50 percent every time. then tried it on an imac and it keeps failing around 80 percent. PLEASE UPLOAD TO ANOTHER LOCATION!

I hear the bootloader on the Prime has been unlocked(with an app), but your warranty will no longer be active. And there's already a video up of a guy Rooting his Prime using Win, Mac, and Ubuntu.

for the Prime, once Asus unlocks the bootloader, xda devs will make it dual bootable
