now i downloaded hyperlobby and i can start it, but i have something like "access denied" and i can skip it but that doesn't work too!

what do i have to do? and can i play il with mods online?

@TehBasterGun Probably cause your running windows 7. I cant really help you there. make sure you maybe run the install file as vista or XP. You know how to do that?

@TehBasterGun Yeah, I think it's getting harder to catch up with all the different versions. I was told to download all the previous versions first, in order. I think it was 4.07 first, then 4.08 next, then I just assumed that 4.09 had to be added.

Every time i try to play this with HyperLobby it tells me to give the loaction of the insallation folder, i downloaded the game through steam i thought for a while that might be just the problem, although from what i hear steam should not effect the game to not be able to work on HyperLobby i downloaded il-2 strumovik with all the expantions. When i give the loaction of the installation folder its still tells me it cannot find the executable for the game any one know how to fix this problem?

@chdonncha Firstly, Are you using Il-2 1946? And your probably not directing it to the correct destination. If not try the auto search. May take a while but it will get there in the end.

hey uh, i bought IL2 thru steam, and it says 408, but i cant patch it to 409 = / i dont know how, i extract it to my IL2 folder, and also, when i try to get on forgotten battles, it says it cant find my game, and i look in the Ubisoft IL2 1946 folder, and i cant find the exe there, would it be in my steam folder or something?

Usually it comes in 4.07. You patch to 4.08m then 4.09m (make sure they're the official not beta release or dedicated server version)

If you have STEAM it would be in [c:\program files]\steam\steamapps\common\­il2 1946\il2.exe

^installing steam to c:\games is recommended (instead of program files folder) for 64-bit

*Many people play with XFire as well as hyperlobby.

1. Its probably a bad patch, you may need to re-download and install it again.

2. Could either Hyperlobby hasn't picked up the path correctly, or there's a bug with hyperlobby.

Both errors are the same.

When I try to run Hyperlobby it pops up these two errors again,

I have il 2 too on the x86 program files due to the fact i use a 64 bit operating system. you should not move it to program files, since it is a 32 bit program. on 64 bit systems, program files x86 is the same as program files on 32 bit systems.

Im in a little predicament. I am connected to Hyperlobby, and everything works alright, But, i cant connect to ANY of the servers.

It always rejects me because i have the wrong patch. It says on my title screen 4.08m. So, i join a server indicating it runs with 4.08m, but it says that im not running that patch?

I try 4.09m, 4.091bm everything but nothing seems to connect. Is there a way to see what version one has? Or is there something wrong with the Lobby?

You probably have those installed incorrectly.

You might aswell:

Make a fresh install of Il-2.

Patch to 4.08m

download and install UI1.1

Then you should be good to go, unless you want to upgrade to Ui1.2, If you upgrade Ui1.1 to Ui1.2 make sure you disable Zuti's dogfight mod with a '-' in front of the name.
