People that rip on moe. and say their jamming is uninspired used to bother me... it puzzles me; these guys can write incredible songs, why don't they focus on improvising only when they're ready to go musical places that their songs can't bring them?
personally, i find moe. to be more progressive rock and phish more bluegrass and psychedelic. i find rhythmically trey's solos are more advanced and interesting/nicer than moe.'s but the chuck's solos are really creative and complex
Good stuff!! I went to High school with Chuck, and now look at him, what an incredible artist he is!! I love all their stuff, go out and get Moe. cd's, you won't be disappointed!!
I love the acoustic MOE.stuff. The electric as well. But the uncluttered sound of Chuck alone with a resonator guitar is fine in the morning. Please take it on the road more often. peace Sweet picking on the intro.
He's one of the most underrated guitarists out there today. I saw moe. at a free in-store concert and got in for the sound check. Even his screwing around during the sound check blew me away. And a great vocalist.
Love ya Chuck. Caught the show at House of Blues 4/15; one of the best shows I've seen in a long time. Got there early enough to catch the soundcheck from the balchony just as Al was starting to sing Jack Straw. It was almost like another show! frickn' awsome, thanks guys.
i think it's in double dropped d just because of the way he is forming the chord shapes, wonderful performance of this song solo. he makes it sound the way the full band did on the record
He's playing it in just drop d but i like to play it in double drop d. I think its easier to play some of the parts and two string chords in ddd and you are able to play the d chord with just two fingers and if you want to you can through your pinky on the fourth fret F# to make it more full. The little intro part on the album that he doesnt play in this video is hard to play in ddd, but other than that i think its easier to play the song in ddd.
YAY! I adore this man. He's really real and I love that about him. A Quadruple thank you to the poster of this video. So glad the announcer pronounced the conch both ways.
priceless.

Yeah they are. I've seen them both many times. Idk, I just meant that moe. is underated.
Obviously people that follow moe. understand, but i just don't think they get the respect they deserve from a lot of people.
Maybe that's good. When bands get popular, the mainsstream factor can mess them up.
Idk, can't wait for the down tomorrow. You going?

Go out and get the album. The album version is extended with a guitar solo and the rest of the band backing chuck. Plus every other song is God.
