Panatico10, everybody knows Mercedes leans towards luxury while BMW leans towards agility. Check BMW 3-Series vs Mercedes C-Class for example. Or 5-Series vs E class or 7-Series vs S-Class.

It all deppends on what you buy. Still, I think Rolls Royce is trully one of the most Luxurious brands out there (not forgetting Maybach I know), so, the S Class is Mercedes Flagship, but not the most luxurious car in the world. That's an overstatement.

This comes from a guy with no bias yet i chose the more luxurious car. You already had a preconcieved notion (bias/brainwashed) about quality. I chose Lexus LS because it looked better all around with a "newer" style. The interior was beautiful compared to the merceedes SL! Look at the 1992 SC400 interior. And compare it to a 1992 mercedes or BMW. The SC is a freakin COCK PIT with detail, quality and leather. IF you want to compare, go back to 1990's. Then look at Lexus now. It still wins.

I can compare Lexus cars from 1990-2000 to BMW & Mercedes 1990-2000. Look at the exterior design of the cars, the technology, and interior. Lexus looked wayyy better & was better in all 3 aspects! Curvy & smooth body. Bmw and mercdedes looked UGGGLYYYYYY like its from 1940 inside and out!! I knew nothing about Luxury and i chose Lexus based on looks and luxury!!! Thats truth. I was not at all claiming that Lexus is the pioneer of anyting. I'm just saying that Lexus are for people who wants luxury at a more affordable price. But hey, if you do not want to settle for less, then go for the S-Class and pay extra premium. Lexus is filled with safety features also, comparable to Mercedes. Lexus even has a hybrid line-up if you want to talk about being green. Lexus is known to be a reliable car as well. It boils down to which car would fit a consumer needs.

have u ever taken a mercedes on a track? they're horrible. they have the worst suspensions and can't hit a corner for shit!so as a result they get horrible lap times. I've gotten a better lap time in a stock M3 than i did in my friend's E55 AMG. Basically, what im saying is acceleration isnt performance, its only one aspect. BMW is great in all aspects.all AMG's chassis and suspension are too lazy and relaxed and dont let u play as much as the BMWs do so basically mercedes are shitty track cars

Lexus didnt have any contributions before. But now with the LS460 it will parallel park itself, monitor body temperature with infrared rays, and monitor whether your face is turned away from the front of the road or not to remind you to pay attention. Honestly, Mercedes hands down has the best styling. BMWs all look the same while Mercedes has a distinct german look. But Lexus is the most reliable car and has ottoman reclining seats. .

i know seriously. but i do have to say that the older versions of the s class have provided tons of technology. but this new generation has copied from BMW. but driving in it makes u feel sophisticated and that youve suceeded in life. anyway the interior-dashboard of the Lexus is just downright not goodlooking compared to BMW or Mercedes on the technical side. The Command and Idrive is slightly more complicated to use but has thousands of more functions than the Lex.
